Seeing @friendlymoose's proposed theme (a recent photo) for this week's #POBPhotocontest, I remembered taking some shots last Friday on my way home from a choir concert I'd attended at a Protestant temple downtown.
It was a bit of a walk to get to the metro, but the evening was mild and the neighborhood is quiet.
We passed this bar front and I wanted to take this photo, the closed eyes of the face pictured reminding me of closed shutters, I thought it was a nice touch.
En voyant le thème proposé par @friendlymoose (une photo récente) pour le #POBPhotocontest de cette semaine, je me suis souvenu avoir pris des clichés vendredi dernier en rentrant d'un concert de chorale auquel j'avais assisté dans un temple protestant du centre ville.

Il y avait un peu de marche pour atteindre le métro, mais la soirée était douce et le quartier est calme.

On est passé devant cette devanture de bar et j'ai eu envie de prendre cette photo, les yeux fermés du visage représenté me faisant penser aux volets fermés, j'ai trouvé ça bien vu.
Meanwhile, my lady companion was looking across the street, and when I turned around I wanted to take that second photo.
Of course, the quality isn't very good with a smartphone, and she told me that she was taking the photo with her eyes.
She was right, and I did the same.
To describe what we're seeing, we're on a quay, and beyond the river, the first building is the former Hôtel Dieu (hospital) which has been transformed into a hotel, restaurants and luxury boutiques.
In the background is the Fourvière basilica.
We're in Lyon, France.
Pendant ce temps, ma compagne regardait du côté opposé de la rue, et quand je me suis retourné j'ai eu envie de prendre cette deuxième photo.

Bien sûr la qualité n'est pas très bonne avec un smartphone, et elle m'a dit que pour sa part elle prenait la photo avec ses yeux.
Elle a bien raison et j'en ai fait de même.

Pour décrire ce qu'on voit, nous sommes sur un quai, et au delà du fleuve, le premier bâtiment est l'ancien Hôtel Dieu (hôpital) qui a été transformé en Hôtel, restaurants et boutiques de luxe.
A l'arrière plan on voit la basilique de Fourvière.
Nous sommes à Lyon, en France.
