Hello everyone,
Happy weekend to you all, wishing you all the best for the weekend. Today I want to share with you how I maximize the land that was given to me by my dad to cultivate two types of crops. We live in an era where foodstuffs are on the high side. It is a necessity that every farmer should seek new innovative ways to maximize their farm land to ensure a sustainable and productive yield at the end of every farming season. This is what I did this farming season cultivating multiple crops on the same plot of land. As a practitioner of mixed farming myself, I have experienced firsthand the benefits of this approach, particularly in the successful cultivation of cassava and maize.
This practice has a lot of advantages, it helps in soil fertility and brings in different food products. By planting complementary crops such as cassava and maize together. In my own experience, I have found that the combination of cassava and maize not only promotes soil health but also provides a reliable source of income and food substance throughout the year.
As you can see in the pictures the plants are doing just fine, though I have noticed some weeds coming in the next few weeks. I should be weeding them off so they don't get to compete with the plants.
