Hello great farmers,

Happy weekend to you all.

It's time for harvest, now is the season of plantain. Those of us in this part of the world normally have a lot of plantain harvest this season, because of the sunny and harmattan weather that makes it mature quickly.

Today I went farming as usual, weekends after school are always time to visit the farm and do some work, and here I was harvesting some plantain that has gotten to the stage of maturity. Today, I embark on the journey of a fruitful harvest, from just the humble beginnings of planting suckers to the joyous culmination of reaping nature's abundance.

Every journey starts with a single sucker, a tiny one at that, it was full of potential while nestled in the soil. Planting that sucker, as a farmer, marks the inception of a journey filled with anticipation, took time to care for the little sucker and then built hope and belief in the magic of growth. As the first when I saw new green shoots emerge, totally different from the ones I planted with, that was when the promise of what lies ahead, a lush plantain grove thriving under your watchfulness of my eyes.

Today arrives the harvest, a momentous time that crowns my journey with two bunches of plantains. With a heart full of gratitude, I gathered the bountiful I was so happy as I cut them each one a tangible reward for my dedication. The air is already filled with the sweet aroma of success, and the joy cultivation.

this bountiful harvest will not only fill my kitchen with the goodness of fresh, a homegrown produce but also serve as a reminder to me as a farmer of the beauty that comes from tending to the earth and caring for plant. As I savor the first bites of my homegrown plantains, may they carry the essence of my hard work and the satisfaction of a fruitful harvest.
