We begin today from Iraq [The invasion of Iraq by the US Forces]. On this day in 2003, Saddam Hussein, the Iraqi President was captured by the US Forces when they invaded Iraq and three years later he was found guilty of crimes against humanity and was ultimately executed. What a sad history I must say.
From Iraq, we move over to the world of music and entertainment [the birthday of Taylor Swift]. Do you also know that on this day in 1989, American miltitalented musician Taylor Swift was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, U.SA. Happy birthday to her.
From remaining in the world of music and entertainment, [the birthday of Jamie Foxx]. Now, on this day in 1968, an American comedian, musician, and actor Jamie Foxx was born in Terrell, Texas, U.S.A. Happy birthday 🎂 to him.
From the world of music and entertainment, we move over to Spain [the death of Antonio Maura y Montaner]. Do you know that on this day in 1925, Antonio Maura y Montaner, a five time Prime Minister of Spain died in Torrelodones.
Gentlemen, we'll round off our today's look in history from South Africa [the birthday of John Vorster]. Do you know that on this day in 1915, John Vorster, a politician who served as Prime Minister of apartheid South African from 1966 –1978 and then as President from 1978 –1979 of South Africa was born in Jamestown, then Union of South Africa (South Africa).
