Este año la víspera de noche buena fue realmente especial para mí porque además de estar con mi familia en casa, estuve todo el día conectada con mis hermanas, y aunque estamos muy lejos, las sentí muy cerca, es que hasta cocinamos juntas nuestra mega hallaca navideña o hallaca gigante como la nombró mi hermana @adalathu.
Ese día ya teníamos adelantadas algunas cosas en casa, y mientras la torta de piña estaba en el horno, nos sentamos todos juntos a ver peli, además Miranda y yo, tuvimos una mañana de spa, mientras mi esposo @rsanchez0308 hacía la torta.
Después de medio día nos enfocamos en preparar lo que restaba de la cena de noche buena, como la mega hallaca y la ensalada de pollo. La última estuvo súper rápida, pero la mega hallaca retrasó la cena por unas cuantas horas.
Mientras ella se tomó hora y media en el horno, nos dio tiempo de bañarnos, vestirnos, comenzar a abrir regalos de Navidad, ir preparando la mesa y por supuesto escuchar gaitas.
Para esa noche nuestro menú fue la mega hallaca, pan de jamón que hizo mi esposo, ensalada de pollo, y de postre, una torta de piña que no debí comer, porque ya había comido demasiado y terminé con un sueño horrible que nos impidió hacer nuestra noche de pelis. Todos caímos como muertos después de cenar.
Fue un día lleno de risas, de comida rica, de estar con la gente que amo y de momentos inolvidables, y aunque olvidé tomar muchas fotos porque estaba ocupada disfrutando con mi familia, difícilmente podré olvidar este día tan especial.
This year the eve of Christmas Eve was really special for me because besides being with my family at home, I was connected all day with my sisters, and although we are far away, I felt very close to them, we even cooked together our mega Christmas hallaca or giant hallaca as my sister @adalathu named it.
That day we already had some things ahead of time at home, and while the pineapple cake was in the oven, we all sat together to watch movies, and Miranda and I had a spa morning while my husband @rsanchez0308 made the cake.
After noon we focused on preparing what was left of the noche buena dinner, like the mega hallaca and the chicken salad. The latter was super fast, but the mega hallaca delayed dinner by a few hours.
While it took an hour and a half in the oven, it gave us time to bathe, get dressed, start opening Christmas presents, prepare the table and of course listen to the bagpipes.
For that night our menu was the mega hallaca, ham bread that my husband made, chicken salad, and for dessert, a pineapple cake that I shouldn't have eaten, because I had already eaten too much and ended up with a horrible dream that prevented us from doing our movie night. We all dropped dead after dinner.
It was a day full of laughter, delicious food, being with the people I love and unforgettable moments, and although I forgot to take many pictures because I was busy enjoying with my family, I will hardly forget this special day.
