I don't know who she is, but there she is, framed by the Cararra marble arch at the summit of the Hill of Hope on Ikuchi Island; a woman with a white parasol, pausing to appreciate the panorama.
Over a period of sixteen years, Japanese sculptor Itto Kuetani shipped 3,000 tons of Cararra marble from Italy to Japan to create this sculpture park on the top of a hill above Kousanji Temple.
