Hello everyone! How are you holding up with the recent drop in HIVE prices compared to two weeks ago? Don't worry—we're here to stay optimistic and keep moving forward. Today, I want to share my progress and strategies for growing Hive Power (HP) over the past week, especially through the #SaturdaySavers initiative.
As always, this community activity is an amazing platform to share savings goals and progress. At the start of this year, I took the opportunity to realign my journey toward my 2025 targets. Last year, I missed out on this challenge, which slowed my progress on HIVE. Now, it feels like a weekly reminder to evaluate my steps in building Hive Power.
Main Goal: 7500 HP
This week, I began with a snapshot recorded in my comment in this post. My starting HP stood at 3679, and with renewed determination, I worked on staying consistent with my posts. By January 13, 2025, I had increased my HP to 3715, reflecting a gain of 31 HP in one week. I managed to publish six posts during this time, which I consider reasonably consistent.
Compared to my performance at the end of last year, this is a solid start. However, with an average gain of 31 HP per week, it’s not enough to reach the 7500 HP target by year’s end. With 50 weeks remaining, I’ll need to ramp up my pace to 76 HP per week. This will require extra effort through more posts, increased engagement, and sharper strategies.
Secondary Goal: 25k SPS Staking
Beyond Hive Power, I’m also targeting 25k SPS staking in Splinterlands. Starting from 16,000 SPS, I added 109 SPS this week—approaching the 180 SPS weekly average required to hit the annual goal.
How? By actively competing in Splinterlands battles and allocating resources strategically to maximize SPS earnings. This approach not only boosts my progress but also makes the game more challenging and rewarding.
Early-Year Strategies
The new year calls for fresh evaluations. One significant step I took was reorganizing my Hive Power delegations. I withdrew some of my delegations and reallocated them to other HIVE accounts, particularly to support new members on the platform. I want to encourage them to write, feel welcomed, and eventually enjoy their HIVE journey. Offering delegations is my way of supporting these new members.
This effort aligns with my long-term plan to bring more people into the HIVE ecosystem. By doing so, we can grow the community while fostering a vibrant and supportive environment.
Takeaways and an Invitation
If this week could be summed up in one word, it would be "adjustment." Progress is important, but adaptability is even more crucial. Here’s what I’ve learned:
- Consistency is key—small gains are fine as long as you keep moving forward.
- Sharing is rewarding—delegating HP to new accounts not only makes them happy but also gives me a sense of meaningful contribution to the community.
- Don’t forget to enjoy—amid all these goals, remember to have fun. I often laugh at my early posts, wondering if I’ll ever hit my targets. But hey, it’s about enjoying the process.
The Saturday Savers Club is open to anyone looking to save in any form, for any purpose. It’s filled with supportive people who share their plans and progress every week. Many also share tips, strategies, or even fun stories from their savings journey. If you’re interested, check out @eddie-earner for more information.
See you in next Saturday’s post—although my first one here might be a bit late as I waited for the #SaturdaySavers post. Let’s keep growing together! 😊
I think I should make a special banner just for this post of mine. 😄
