dCrops introduces Starter Packs + My Game Activity and Progress on dCrops
Today, after about a month since my last post on the same topic, I share my game activity, achievements and progress on dCrops which is a Hive-based farming game that I have been playing since the first season.
On dCrops the summer season is underway which started just under two days ago and will end in 13 days and 4 hours.
Before showing my game activity and progress on dCrops I want to show an interesting and useful new feature introduced 5 days ago by dCrops: the starter packs.
Starter packs offer an easy way to start playing because they contain everything you need to get started:
- 4 seed-type NFTs (each seed is plantable in one of the four seasons)
- 1 land-type NFT in which a single seed can be planted per season
- 60 Boosters
On dCrops starter packs have a cost of $5 that can be paid for with HIVE, HBD and SWAP.HIVE tokens.
Note, however, that the NFTs contained in the starter packs are soulbound so they can be used to play but cannot be sold or transferred.
I have been playing on dCrops since May 2021 but if I were a new player I could purchase 1 Starter pack to start playing right away and to have continuity of play by being able to plant at least one seed in each season of play but then I would prefer to purchase the Alpha packs on Hive Engine because the Alpha packs:
- contain 5 transferable and saleable NFTs
- the probability of finding a land-type NFT is relatively high
- they have a cost of 19 SWAP.HIVE = $3.42
In a previous post of mine, I shared the opening of 33 Alpha packs and found 26 land-type NFTs proving that finding land-type NFTs in an Alpha pack is not certain but very likely.

I like the idea of introducing starter packs because often in farming games it is not easy to start because it is first necessary to understand the game mechanics and choose which NFTs to buy to start playing, and startr packs are useful for this very reason.
Having closed this parenthesis of introduction and my personal thoughts on starter packs I now share my recent gaming activity on dCrops.
On dCrops, season number 82 is underway.
In the previous season, season 81, players earned 0.426 CROP for each SHARE point.
SHARE points are earned in various ways but the main way is through the sale of agricultural products (crops).
The gain in CROP per share point is something that I consider important and like to monitor, which is why I share this information in each of my posts on dCrops.
Unfortunately, I did not take a screenshot of the CROP/SHARE ratio for season 80 but I will try not to miss the data for future seasons.
Having the ability to see the previous season's leaderboard results is also useful for tracking the number of active players season after season.
Beginning in season 78 I started keeping track of this data as well.
In season 81 there were 267 active players while in season 79 there were 280 active players with a decrease of 13 players.
In each season, before planting my seeds, I perform the claim of rewards of seasonal quests.
In season 81 I completed all the seasonal quests and based on the value of my CROP Power I can make the 15 chests claim.
I am also very close to reaching a CROP Power of 85K points that will allow me to receive 16 Chests instead of 15.
My current CROP POWER = 84437,578
In the next image you can see the probability of finding a particular item within 1 chest.
Within the 15 Chests I opened today I found:
- 7 NFTs of Resource type (1 Iron Ore + 2 Stone + 3 Wood + 1 Copper Ore)
- 3 Craft Items
- 5 Boosters
I was very lucky because finding 7 Resource-type NFTs in 15 chests is not frequent and in fact the total market value of the Resource-type NFTs I found today in the chests is also a good value: 6.47 HIVE = $1.16
With the new seasonal quests I was not very lucky because I received 4 quests that could not be completed because I don't have 2 Corns in my invetary and because I don't have NFTs of the Bok Choy and King Weed type.
I first checked the cost of crop corn in the Farmers Market to see if I could spend less than using the Reroll feature but the price of the 2 crops in the Farmers Market was higher (36 CROP) than the cost of the Reroll (10 CROP).
To have 7 out of 7 completed quests I used the Reroll feature five times and spent a total of 50 CROP.
As for the planting operation this season, I started almost two days late but fortunately I still have enough days for all my seeds to mature.
I used 3 Speed Grow boosters and 3 Ferti plus boosters in three of my Awesome Lands because in these lands I planted 6 seeds that have the special ability “keeps producing till season ends”
In the next image you can see all the seeds I planted today.
I like to monitor the value of the tokens in the games I play and/or have invested in, and I will end the dCrops portion of this post with a little focus on the value of the CROP token.
In the next image you can see the difference in value in SWAP.HIVE and in dollars recorded by the CROP token in the time interval: July 30, 2024 - August 29, 2024.
Compared to July 30, 2024, the dollar value of the HIVE token decreases: -0.042$ = -18.92%.
The decrease in value of the HIVE token also pushes down the dollar value of the CROP token:
- Highest Bid value: -0.0003019$ = -22.66%
- Lowest Ask value: -0.000244 = -16.21%

La mia attività di gioco e i miei progressi su dCrops
Oggi, dopo circa un mese dal mio ultimo post sullo stesso argomento, condivido la mia attività di gioco, i miei risultati e i miei progressi su dCrops che è un Hive-based farming game a cui gioco fin dalla prima stagione.
Su dCrops è in corso la stagione estiva che è iniziata poco meno di due giorni fa e terminerà tra 13 giorni e 4 ore.
Prima di mostrare la mia attività di gioco e i miei progressi su dCrops voglio mostrare un'interessante e utile novità introdotta 5 giorni fa da dCrops: gli starter packs.
Gli starter packs offrono un modo semplice per iniziare a giocare perchè contengono tutto il necessario per iniziare a giocare:
- 4 NFT di tipo seme (ogni seme è piantabile in una delle quattro stagioni)
- 1 NFT di tipo land nel quale è possibile piantare un singolo seme per stagione
- 60 Boosters
Su dCrops gli starter packs hanno un costo di 5$ che può essere pagato con i token HIVE, HBD e SWAP.HIVE.
Nota però che gli NFT contenuti negli starter packs sono di tipo soulbound e quindi possono essere utilizzati per giocare ma non possono essere venduti o trasferiti.
Gioco su dCrops dal mese di maggio 2021 ma se fossi un nuovo giocatore potrei acquistare 1 Starter pack per iniziare subito a giocare e avere continuità di gioco potendo piantare almeno un seme in ogni stagione di gioco ma poi preferirei acquistare i pacchi di carte Alpha su Hive Engine perchè i pacchi Alpha:
- contengono 5 NFT trasferibili e vendibili
- la probabilità di trovare un NFT di tipo land è relativamente alta
- hanno un costo di 19 SWAP.HIVE = 3.42$
In un mio precedente post ho condiviso l'apertura di 33 Alpha packs e ho trovato 26 NFT di tipo land a dimostrazione che trovare NFT di tipo land in un Alpha pack non è una certezza certo ma è molto probabile.

Mi piace l'idea di introdurre gli starter packs perchè spesso nei giochi di farming non è semplice partire perchè è prima necessario capire i meccanismi di gioco e scegliere quali NFT acquistare per iniziare a giocare e gli startr packs sono utili proprio per questo motivo.
Chiusa questa parentesi di introduzione e di mie considerazioni personali sugli starter packs adesso condivido la mia recente attività di gioco su dCrops.
Su dCrops è in corso la stagione numero 82.
Nella stagione precedente, la stagione 81, i giocatori hanno guadagnato 0.426 CROP per ogni punto SHARE.
I punti share si ottengono in vari modi ma il modo principale è tramite la vendita dei prodotti agricoli (crops).
Il guadagno in CROP per punto share è un elemento che considero importante e che mi piace monitorare e per questo motivo in ogni mio post su dCrops condivido queste informazioni.
Purtroppo non ho fatto uno screenshot del rapporto CROP/SHARE della stagione 80 ma cercherò di non perdermi i dati delle stagioni future.
Avere la possibilità di vedere i risultati della leaderboard della precedente stagione è utile anche per monitorare il numero di giocatori attivi stagione dopo stagione.
A partire dalla stagione 78 ho iniziato a tenere traccia anche di questo dato.
Nella stagione 81 i giocatori attivi sono stati 267 mentre nella stagione 79 i giocatori attivi sono stati 280 con una diminuzione di 13 giocatori.
In ogni stagione, prima di piantare i miei semi, effettuo è il claim delle ricompense delle quests stagionali.
Nella stagione 81 ho completato tutte le quests stagionali e in base al valore del mio CROP Power ho fatto il claim di 15 chests.
Sono anche molto vicino a raggiungere un CROP Power di 85K punti che mi permetterà di ricevere 16 Chests invece di 15.
Il mio attuale CROP POWER = 84437.578
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le probabilità di trovare un determinato elemento all'interno di 1 chest.
All'interno dei 15 Chests che ho aperto oggi ho trovato:
- 7 NFT di tipo Resource (1 Iron Ore + 2 Stone + 3 Wood + 1 Copper Ore)
- 3 Craft Items
- 5 Boosters
Sono stato molto fortunato perchè trovare 7 NFT di tipo Resource in 15 chests non è frequente e infatti anche il valore di mercato totale degli NFT di tipo Resource che ho trovato oggi nei chests è un buon valore: 6.47 HIVE = 1.16$
Con le nuove quests stagionali non sono stato molto fortunato perchè ho ricevuto 4 quests non completabili perchè non ho 2 Corn nel mio invetario e perchè non ho NFT di tipo Bok Choy e King Weed.
Ho prima verificato il costo dei crop Corn nel Farmers Market per vedere se potevo spendere meno rispetto all'utilizzo della funzione Reroll ma il prezzo dei 2 crops nel Farmers Market era più alto (36 CROP) rispetto al costo del Reroll (10 CROP).
Per avere 7 quests completabili su 7 ho utilizzato la funzionalità Reroll cinque volte e ho speso in totale 50 CROP.
Per quanto riguarda l'operazione di semina in questa stagione ho iniziato con quasi due giorni di ritardo ma fortunatamente ho ancora giorni sufficienti per far maturare tutti i miei semi.
Ho usato 3 booster Speed Grow e 3 booster Ferti plus in tre mie Awesome Land perchè in queste land ho ho piantato 6 semi che hanno l'abilità speciale "keeps producing till season ends"
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere tutti i semi che ho piantato oggi.
Mi piace monitorare il valore dei token dei giochi in cui gioco e/o ho investito e concludo la parte di questo post relativa a dCrops con un piccolo focus sul valore del token CROP.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la differenza di valore in SWAP.HIVE e in dollari registrata dal token CROP nell'intervallo di tempo: 30 luglio 2024 - 29 agosto 2024.
Rispetto al 30 luglio 2024 diminuisce il valore in dollari del token HIVE: -0.042$ = -18.92%.
La diminuzione di valore del token HIVE spinge verso il basso anche il valore in dollari del token CROP:
- Highest Bid value: -0.0003019$ = -22.66%
- Lowest Ask value: -0.000244 = -16.21%
