Hello Lifescape Tribe, I hope we are all having a great start of the week.
It's been a tiring day, we all have different ways to relieve the stress. As for me eating is one way to release stress. So today I'm gonna share about one of my favorite comfort food.
This food is not expensive and is not served in a fancy restaurant. As a matter of fact it is just sold along the road.
They have a small cart covered with an umbrella, this may seem a little cart but every afternoon people are always in line to get the taste of this. Luckily I'm early today so there's no line.
This is the food that they serve , we call it " mami " . The ingredients are pork and beef bits, onions leaks , noodles , and a topping of either egg or siomai, then they pour a very tasty soup.
The soup was unlimited , I for one refills for up to three times. The soup was really something. If my tongue serves me right it is a beef broth added with a lot of spices boiled for several hours making it very tasty.
Also they provide us with different spices that we can mix with the soup to get the taste that we wanted.
They have soy sauce, vinegar, fish sauce , calamansi , dried and paste chili, pepper and fried minced garlic. That a lot right, everyone needs this because everyone has a different preference on how their mami will taste.
For me I just add garlic , calamansi and a lot chili paste. Any food I eat will not be complete if it's not spicy. And with all that explanation this food cost 50 pesos, or about $0.90. It's a fair price for me since after eating I think I no longer need to eat dinner. After the third soup refill my stomach is already above its normal capacity. Just a little cup of Buko Juice and I'm full.
Now that wraps it up, how about you what's your comfort food?
