Are you thrifty? Me? I am thrifty—not in the sense of not spending, but thrifty in a way that I know I’m spending on something I truly need.
I’m also thrifty in the sense that I try to save money on the things I buy.
I wasn’t always thrifty, but I realized it’s the better way to go.
So how do I save?
When I need to buy something, I look for where I can get it at the lowest price, because there are so many overpriced items these days.
But I no longer go to physical stores to browse, because that's just too tiring, right?
So what I do is browse for the item I need on different online shopping platforms and compare prices.
The great thing is, you can often find sales, vouchers, cashback, free delivery, etc., that can further lower your total cost.
For example, wet wipes—check the prices at the grocery store, and you’ll see they’re more expensive compared to online, where you can often find them bundled.
I used to buy branded diapers for my baby, but it got too expensive, so I searched online for a cheaper option. I just looked for those with good reviews, and luckily, I found one.
The price of two packs of these diapers is almost the same as one pack of branded ones in the grocery, and they work well—no rashes on my baby and good absorbency, so I made the switch.
These are just a few examples of how you can find cheaper options online. So before you buy anything, consider this idea; you might save more if you shop online.
Aside from saving money, you also reduce travel expenses, especially if you only need a few things. It also helps you avoid extra expenses, like food, because sometimes, a quick grocery run leads to dining out, which adds to your spending.
Another way to save is through affiliate marketing. Promote the regular items you buy at home. For me, that’s the diaper and wipes, which reduces their cost since I get some money back in the form of commissions, plus there’s a chance to earn extra if you sell those products.
