The more time you spend in somebody's presence, the more you feel their absence.
I can honestly say the closer that i've grown in my friendships that God has sent me, I realized that after a while i start feeling their absence when they're not around for a while I find myself wondering like how they've been, and how they're doing. I noticed the same thing happens since my prayer life and my relationship with God has grown
I know when I've been far from him because he brings out the best in me, so whenever the worst comes at me i know that he's not near. It's one thing for God to be in your presence, but it's a whole other place for you to be in the presence of God intentionally acknowledging god's presence. Is like being around that one person that just always brings out the best in you and of course being in this world creates space for the world to bring out the worst in me.
As much as I love God's creation this world is definitely enough to push me over the edge when God is present in my life and I've drawn closer to him, I realize no matter what happens around me it does not affect me internally because his peace rests there his joy rests there the everlasting fruits of his characteristics and his nature when God is there.
God's characteristics, that love, that joy, that peace, that self-control, that kindness. If you don't know, you've been drawing closer to god or you don't know if you've really been spending time in his presence, ask yourself do you feel a difference when you're not in his presence, do you realize when you haven't spent time with him after that's god letting you know that he misses you.
