Sometimes, I am just that on the streets: "An intruder"... And I don't just mean being unnoticed by most of those around me. I also refer to myself as "someone outside or distant from their thoughts...". I mean that, while the people on the street are "living", I go around just observing.... It's not something that happens to me all the time, but at certain times I can feel a bit isolated...

When I have this feeling of being apart or of entering a world where I don't belong, then my photos are more distant. I'm talking about wider angles and "scene" type shots... There is something in my thinking these days, which makes me prone to this kind of photos in which it is "me looking from afar"... This is a less intimate variant of photographic work, but it also has a lot of charm and you can get pictures which are true translations of the everyday life of the village and its people... The fog, of course, has something to do with this kind of photos and I think it is something more psychological than physical, because that feeling of "furtiveness" that the fog allows, I don't think it is really as dramatic as I perceive it in my head, but it still serves me well for these street photo works...

This kind of photo is occasional, I know... It's also something which doesn't happen in a planned way. I mean, I don't wake up and say "today I'll take this or that kind of photo"... It's more that I go out into the street and the street itself seems to say to me: "Today you'll just be an intruder"... That's how it happens to me and that's something really fascinating to feel...

As you can see, I'm evolving in a strange way and I'm becoming more and more of a "hopeless romantic" when it comes to my photographic activity... But that's how it has to be. I don't think I could go out on my streets just to take a "technically good" photo. No, what I need is this, to feel that the streets are telling me things in my ear, to try to draw my thoughts with a photo which resembles them... Anyway... This is good and sometimes there are traces of slight poetry in it...
