Another Side of Corrientes Avenue - Street Photography | Monomad Challenge [ENG/ESP]

In Buenos Aires, what is known as CABA (Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires) is the corrientes avenue, it is very well known and very busy for hosting many theaters, stores, restaurants and it is on this avenue where the obelisk is, but usually when we refer to this avenue we talk or think of just a tram, a few meters that is where people usually walk.

Yesterday I was walking in another area of corrientes avenue, I was in a house of musical instruments that by the way is near the Gran Rex theater, I am talking about the beginning of this avenue.

En Buenos Aires, lo que se conoce como CABA (Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires) está la avenida corrientes, es muy conocida y muy transitada por albergar muchos teatros, comercios, restaurantes y es por esta avenida donde está el obelisco, pero generalmente cuando nos referimos a esta avenida hablamos o pensamos en solo un tram, unos cuantos metros que es donde las personas suelen caminar.

Ayer estuve caminando por otra zona de la avenida corrientes, estaba en una casa de instrumentos musicales que por cierto queda cerca del teatro Gran Rex, estoy hablando del comienzo de esta avenida.

The aesthetics of this part of the avenue is for me totally different from what is known or it must be that I see it with another optics due to street photography, the truth is that I fell in love with this area and the architecture, buildings that I did not know and had not visited for reasons I mentioned earlier, we are not used to this part of the avenue currents.

I decided to take a picture of the NH Collection Jousten building, a four star hotel near florida street. A little perspective and a wide angle would be nice for this shot.

La estética de esta parte de la avenida es para mí totalmente diferente a lo que se conoce o debe ser que lo veo con otra óptica debido a la fotografía de calle, lo cierto es que me enamoré de esta zona y de la arquitectura, edificios que no conocía y que no había visitado por razones que mencioné anteriormente, no estamos acostumbrados a esta parte de la avenida corrientes.

Decidí tomarle una foto al edificio NH Collection Jousten, un hotel de cuatro estrellas cerca de la calle florida. Un poco de perspectiva y un gran angular quedaría bien para esta foto.

I liked this photo very much, whenever there is a person walking along the pedestrian path is attractive to me, as long as there are no other distracting elements in the composition or in that scene. In this case you can appreciate the imposing nature of this building, the asphalt was wet from the rains and it is a very interesting area because there are many offices and companies there, so there are usually people in uniform that help the aesthetics of the shots.

Ésta foto me gustó muchísimo, siempre que hay una persona caminando por la senda peatonal es atractivo para mí, siempre que no hayan otros elementos distractores en la composición o en esa escena. En este caso se puede apreciar la imponencia de este edificio, el asfalto estaba mojado por las lluvias y es una zona muy interesante porque hay muchas oficinas y empresas allí, por lo que suele haber personas en uniforme que ayudan a la estética de las fotos.

Buildings and more buildings... While touring this area I came across this building that stands out among the other two that accompany it, because of its size and design, I thought it would be a good idea to take a picture of it, try to center it a bit and frame it in such a way as to place it in the middle. It is pleasing to the eye because the structures have a lot of contrast while in the background is the cloudy sky. In addition you can appreciate lines and shapes.

Edificios y más edificios... Mientras recorría esta zona me encontré con este edificio que se destaca entre los otros dos que lo acompañan, por su tamaño y diseño, pensé que sería buena idea tomarle una foto, intentar centrar un poco y encuadrar de forma de ubicarlo en el medio. Es para mí agradable a la vista porque las estructuras tienen mucho contraste mientras que en el fondo está el cielo nublado. Además se pueden apreciar líneas y formas.

This is a small business center that I plan to visit again as soon as possible, although this time I focused on taking a picture from a low angle near a puddle of water to look for a reflection, the tiles do not help much for this type of photography but I tried anyway.

Further down is Roque Saenz Peña avenue, a photo I took from the crosswalk and at that moment I was already out of the avenue.

Este es un pequeño centro empresarial que pienso visitar nuevamente lo más pronto posible, aunque en esta ocasión me enfoque en tomar un foto desde un ángulo bajo cerca de un charco de agua para buscar algún reflejo, las baldosas no ayudan mucho para este tipo de fotografías pero igualmente lo intenté.

Más abajo se encuentra la avenida Roque Saenz Peña, una foto que tomé desde el paso peatonal y ya en ese momento estaba fuera de la avenida corrientes.

Another aspect that has to do with the fact that the beginning of Corrientes Avenue is aesthetically different are the side streets, in this case it would not really be this avenue, but anyway, they are narrow cobblestone streets that have a certain European air, valuable architecture on both sides and a lot of history.

Otro de los aspectos que tiene que ver con que el principio de la avenida Corrientes es diferente esteticamente son las calles laterales en este caso ya no sería ésta avenida realmente pero en fin, son calles angostas empedradas que tienen cierto aire europeo, valiosa arquitectura de ambos lados y mucha historia.

The next photo is of the NH Collection Jousten building but from the side. I also used a wide angle for this shot.

La siguiente foto es del edificio NH Collection Jousten pero desde el lado lateral. También utilice un gran angular para ésta foto.

Finally I leave you another photo of Roque Saenz Peña Avenue, what is known as Diagonal Norte, you can see if you look far away the obelisk, on the right side the dome of the Bencich building, on the left side other buildings of classical and neo-gothic architecture and this beautiful urban landscape that characterizes the city.

Para finalizar les dejo otra foto de la avenida Roque Saenz Peña, lo que se conoce como la Diagonal Norte, se puede apreciar si miras bien a lo lejos el obelisco, en el lado derecho la cúpula del edificio Bencich, de lado izquierdo otros edificios de arquitectura clásica y neogótica y este hermoso paisaje urbano que caracteriza la ciudad.
