Everything is relevant but if it's creative and the images are of high quality, the appreciation will be proportional to that.
Macro photography is great, there is a lot to work on it and get good results. I see a lot of macro shots of insects, but there are more things to capture in that photographic genre :)
@dimascastillo90 It's true as you said, macro photography techniques are quite difficult, but I still tried it.
