What a wonderful post, dear @samstonehill ππͺ·πΊπ Full of all the things that I love best! π€π The photos are fabulous, and your exchanges/ interrelating/ living in gift here sounds just like a typical day that I live too β€οΈβ€οΈβπ₯π» So glad for you all, adding to your homestead like this! All power to your rabbits and chickens in their new homes π
Am grateful for this group which provides the perfect place for stories like this one, which as you say, can so easily become a part of our daily lives. For me the language barrier has been the hardest part of achieving this but was quite impressed with myself managing such an extensive conversation on Sunday.
So much of this is about simply expressing our goals and our desires to those around us, without which they cannot know how to help. Important to recognise too that people really love to help, so being shy (which i have been a lot over the last 5 years) does nothing useful.
Big hugs to you Clare π
YES! π€ππ
Precisely: it is a sacred gift indeed, to allow others to help - in more consumerist cultures, there is less space for this, eh... but in these beautiful smal rural towns, Natural Law is much closer to the surface π»
And I hear you about the language challenge! This is less of an issue now (almost 15 yrs into my Italy adventure) , but there are still times where - especially older men! - think that I'm making mistake with what I am saying - or even misinterpreting their words - when I'm perfectly lucifd and expressing succinctly, but it's an idea which is too new for them... At least your neighbour seems very open to seeing you with new eyes: that is a powerful new ally! β€οΈπβ€οΈβπ₯
Looking forward to hearing more dear Sam!
