Fun and challenging camping activities

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY3 months ago

In May, to be precise on the 10-11th, I took part in the Jamboree activities which were held at Semak Daun Village, Bogor. Participants in this activity were all 7th graders at MtsN 1 Bekasi.

The day before this activity was carried out, I packed up the things that needed to be brought.

The day I had been waiting for arrived, at around half past six my parents took me to the appointed place before going to Bogor. It turned out it was quite busy there. I went to Bogor using an army car. When I arrived, the car was being given paper according to the name of the class. Then I looked for a car that had my class name written on it and I got into that car and put my luggage there. Before leaving, we were checked in by our companion so that no one was left behind. Then around 7 o'clock we left.

Finally, we arrived at the location. We got out of the car and walked into the Semak Daun Village area. The view there was very beautiful. The participants walked and stopped in the hall. There the participants rested for a moment and were given directions by the supervisor. After being given directions, we walked to the campsite and then lined up in the field to be given instructions again about the distribution of tents and tent teams. The boy's and girl's group tents were separated. The girl's group tents were on the edge of the field, while the boy's group tents were below the gilr's tent camping area. One tent consists of one team, and each team had 4 or 5 people. After choosing a tent, we packed up our belongings.

Because it was Friday, the boy's group was directed to get ready for lunch and perform Friday prayers in the hall. Meanwhile, the girl's group was getting ready for lunch. After lunch the girl's group was directed to perform noon prayers. After praying, all participants got ready to carry out the next activity, namely the opening ceremony. After the rally was finished, it was continued with activities to strengthen the SKU (General Skills Requirements) for the Penggalang by the companion. Asr arrived, we prayed Asr.

The next activity was swimming for the girl's group and group dynamics for the boy's group. At that time I did not swim, because I was not healthy. So I went for a walk with two of my friends who also didn't swim. After a few minutes of walking around we decided to go back to the tent and clean up. It was getting dark, all participants were directed to immediately perform their ablutions and went down to the hall to perform the Maghrib prayer in congregation and tadarus al-Qur'an. After evening prayers, we all had dinner together in the hall. After finishing dinner we performed evening prayers.

After evening prayers, all participants returned to their respective tents and got ready to carry out the next activity, namely the campfire ceremony. After the campfire ceremony was finished, the activity continued with an art performance which would be held in the hall. It was dark that night, so the participants went down into the hall carrying flashlights. Activities that evening went smoothly and finished around 11 pm. The participants returned to the tent to rest.

My friends and I woke up around 4 am. Then we changed into sports clothes and got ready for morning prayers. After morning prayers, we returned to the tent and had breakfast. After that, the activity continued with group gymnastics on the field. After gymnastics, the next activity was swimming for the boy's group and group dynamics for the girl's group.

After the activity was finished, we were given time to prepare for the next activity, namely outbound. All participants lined up again on the field and formed teams consisting of 10 people and one person was the team leader. This activity was carried out by running from post 1 to post 6. Posts 1-3 were about materials, while posts 4-6 were about games. But, before leaving, the supervisor would ask questions or make guesses. The team that could answer would go first and chose 1 team to challenge.

After that, our team started walking, we walked from posts 1-6 while receiving materials or games. After that the activity continued with outbound. Before that we put things we didn't need to carry on the side of the road. After that we went into the mud. I think the mud was quite deep. After finishing, we went to the pool which was not far from the outbound location. There we cleaned our clothes so they didn't get too dirty. After that we took our things back and went back to the tent and cleaned up. After that we had lunch and noon prayers.

After finishing lunch and noon prayers, all participants were directed to get ready for the closing ceremony and announcement of the winners of the art performance which was held last night. After the roll call was finished, all participants were directed to pack up their belongings and cleaned up the rubbish around the tent. After that we got ready to go home.

All participants left the camping area then walked out of the Semak Daun Village area and returned to their respective class cars. Before we went home, we were checked in by our companion so that no one was left behind.
