A few days ago I saw a deal going on the Facebook Marketplace, and even though I said I wouldn't be buying any more stock, I didn't want to let this one slip by.
It arrived yesterday, and today when I got back home, it was the first thing I sought out.
I was almost afraid to look inside, in case the postal service wasn't kind to it, while in transit.
I didn't snap a picture before removing the bubble wrap, which was my bad, so don't think that the guy sent it like this.
I've been looking to pick up an Xbox 360 for a good while now, maybe 1+ years, it would occasionally pop into my head, and it would go, but for the last few months especially, I've been really wanting to get one.
I often came across some deals here and there, online, but never jumped at them, until I saw this one.
Alongside the Xbox was 3 controllers and 75 games, but we'll get to the games shortly.
There is a fairly big variety of stuff here, some I own, and some I don't, but all fairly decent titles.
Before taking the games out and inspecting them, I decided to bring the console in and check out if it was working.
Thankfully it was, and I got logged onto the internet and started downloading my profile.
My disc tray on my old console stopped working around 2013/ 2014, and once that happened, I couldn't game anymore, so it got boxed up, along with all of my games, and there it remained until now.
I was in my mum's today, going through storage, and started to go through some of my old games. I actually forgot about many of the titles, and was shocked at the extent of my old collection of Xbox titles; I picked out three and brought them down, and soon will be going through all of the other ones to check them out and make sure they're all in good nick.
Here are all of the games I got in this bundle, and I have to say, it's a fairly impressive haul.
The guy's photos looked impressive, but seeing them laid out in person is different.
He told me that some didn't have manuals, so the first order of business was doing a bit of organising.
I decided to pile them up based on what has manuals, what doesn't, and what is potentially broken/ unsellable.
This is a pile which are complete with manuals.
This second pile also have their manuals.
This is the pile I'm not sure about, which has pamphlets but no actual book.
At some point they did start making actual manuals, so I need to look into them a bit more to find out.
These ones here are just the game discs on their own with nothing else in the box.
This is the broken pile, where the game discs are cracked, and or there is no disc at all.
I'm relieved that there are only two games that are broken, out of the entire 75.
I still need to test a bunch of the other games though, because some have some bad scratches, but hopefully nothing game-breaking.
These are 4 discs I got free, two movies, and two copies of Fifa 15.
I have tons of these little slips now too, which will come in handy.
Some of the games were in the boxes, in these slips, and on inspection, the discs look really clean, as if they were never played.
In the boxes were also a bunch of different receipts, dating back to 2018/ 2019, when the previous owner was going on a bit of a gaming binge.
This bundle cost 250 Euros, which I don't think was too bad. Included in that was the delivery fee, and looking online, as I have been, the Xbox console goes for about 75 - 100 including a controller.
I think 100 for 3 controllers, and a console, and 150 for 75 games isn't too bad; it roughly works out at around 2 Euro per game.
I'm looking forward to playing some Xbox later, and taking the time to revisit some old classics from back in the day.
After this fairly big buy, I'm not going to be buying anymore bundles again for a good while; not until I start shifting some of the stuff I've already picked up.
