Some New Games To Sell

in Hive Gaming3 months ago

About 2 weeks ago I picked up some new items to sell, but with everything that was going on I hadn't had a chance to talk about them, or clean and inspect them all.

I saw someone selling a rake of games, mainly 360 titles, but also Xbox One and PS4 titles too.

I spoke with them and asked about just buying all of the Xbox games off them, and they said that was grand and we started talking about the price.

The entire collection for €60, which worked out at €2 per game. An unreal deal if I'm honest, especially since some of these games are worth €20+ and even the common ones could sell for €4+ easy.

These are the titles without boxes, and a few with blank cases.

I have some boxes for games that aren't exactly worth selling, so I'm able to use a bunch of those boxes for these games so they don't get damaged in transit. But, another option which might be good, is to actually just buy a pack of empty CD cases.

There are some issues with about 3 of the games.

There's this weird discoloured mark around the edge of Brotherhood. I have no idea if this is just cosmetic, or if it'll stop the game from working, but I'll test them out and find out.

Does anyone know what causes this?

There's this too. On the transformers disc, some of the picture is gone.

Again, I've never seen this happen to a game before.

The box for this one has some damage to the front cover.

This kind of damage is caused by water.

Years ago, I had all of my Xbox 360 games underneath my bed stored in cardboard boxes (I have about 100 of them) and one day a pipe burst. I woke up for college to dripping from my ceiling, and soon after that, the entire ceiling tore open as water gushed onto my bed.

Having seeped through the mattress it ruined a load of my games covers, which is a bloody shame because I always looked after everything I owned.

I picked these up in one of the shops.

€1 each for the two games, and €3 for the Extras boxset, which was a buy for me. I love that show, and have wanted to pick it up for a while now, especially since it's no longer on Netflix.

This is a really good stack of games, and I don't think they'll be sitting around long before they sell. All I have to do is clean, photograph, and list them.

Some of the discs have some light scratches and wear, 3 of the games are potentially unsellable, which is a shame, but luckily, no major loss, as they aren't valuable, or rare.

With the ware on the discs I'm not going to be able to get the full value, but I'm thinking, as a ballpark estimate, there's about €150 worth of games here, maybe more.

Decent man can't go wrong for 2 pounds a piece! Everytime I see your posts I get jealous that the video game market where I live is kinda crap!

Honestly man, it's 90% luck, with a heavy dose of good timing. I've missed out on some brilliant deals by only a few minutes, so timing is key.

Man where I live people think they have more than what they actually have. I've seen people wanting $20 a piece for 360 games.

In fairness man, there are plenty of people over this way looking for the same amount, and some people price games accordingly, but I just look to pick up bundles, especially from people who just want to have a clear out and a quick sale.

I pay full price for games I want, like Simpsons Hit and Run, I bought that one recently for the PS2 off someone. I'd never played it before, but it set me back €40, which is basicially the same price as it goes for online.

Do you ever go to Yard Sales? We don't have them over here, but I wish we did. I watch some guys who can get kickass deals.

Yard sales down here are a huge hit and miss. I think the main problem where I live is that people truly don't understand the value of what they have and think that they should get 300+ dollars for a PS4 in alright condition and then complain when people dont buy it.

For games that I want I have no problem paying full price for them either. I paid Price Chart price for Scarface the World is Yours recently.

I was so close to buying that alongside hit and run but decided to hold off for the moment. Them two, The Warriors, Sly cooper, Jak and Daxter and the Ratchet and Clank games are the ones I'm looking to buy atm

I've got my eye on Hit and Run too! I've been debating the past couple of weeks whether to pull the trigger on it or not!

Man what a treat to see collections like that, the boxes look great and the covers too. Despite the weird stains on the two discs, for me it was worth it all for 60€. I hope you do well selling them.

Excellent collection of physical Xbox 360 games mate, they literally look very well taken care of, I unfortunately lost them all haha. Good post, GTA 5 looks great.

What a shame to lose so many game covers in that pipe burst. You have got a good collection there.
