At the moment I am just finishing the rookie matches that give your free cards to build decks. After that, I should be able to earn PRIME for playing ranked matches. I have heard the earnings are pretty good so far.

No, you can play and gather your cards and packs in game with no costs. You can set your primary wallet and have 0 balance.
Hmm, it requires Windows. I'll have to see if it's worth trying it on a Windows Emulator in Linux.
