Good morning to you all
Here is part 4 of my ideas and proposals I sent to the Splinterlands team
Please only come back at me with good reasoning, I don't just want spam hate etc
Last bit as some people seem to not like my writing style 😅 I am Dyslexic and hate using things like Grammarly as it depresses me so let me know if bits don't make sense!
Advertising
With regards to splinterlandsTV or whatever it was called I get that it was a costly expenditure.
But what if you came to deals with players to play splinterlands on a company account.
I am assuming you own a ton of cards. If you have max accounts if you allowed that on an account for streamers to play
Yes it would be a shared account. But if they had some form of rewards then it could work. IE paid in sps/dec or cards maybe. They could be showing progression to viewers, and showing what is instore for them.
Big advertising doesn’t work as we have seen with the waka and imagine dragons stuff.
I’m sure there is plenty of us who would happily promote on X and other forums if we had faith that we aren’t going to get rugged by the team or made to look like idiots.
General posts we can use to help promote the game would be a benefit as well. Copy and paste stuff but with easily changeable parts for uniqueness.
You have a passionate fan base that sadly has been let down, we are there to be used and I don’t feel the team have tried to tap into it.
Even the streamers you partnered with promised things that just weren’t true and sadly has left a bad taste for some community members past and present.
Discord
Needs moderation really badly. I know I put stuff in there but it is all genuine and no lies.
Others not so much. It is one of the first places people check before investing and it is a hideous place.
Hiding rooms I understand, but at the same time it is creating an even bigger divide between the general population and the big timers.
At least with Mav chats we could read and discuss in tavern.
But mods are needed in some form or other.
Not power hungry, but just to keep some peace.
I recently went back to playing Axie again, they are managed very well and are a good way to show what can be done with such an active discord.
A F2P version
So a small version of F2P would also bring people in.
Allow them to play, earn SB cards and progress with no rewards. If they want to use them rewards, then they need to buy a spellbook.
Potential for abuse in that people farm so they can get SB’s but it is well worth a risk. They wouldn’t be able to earn them as easily as owned spellbook accounts. Put a limit of a couple max a week. People like to be rewarded and if they then progress and see cooler stuff they will be more inclined to part with some cash.
Promo Cards
This has been a massive issue for me. The aim always seems to be to get the most amount of money possible from the sales and disregard a huge part of the player base.
The greatest has been vruz. It was cheap, accessible and a fun looking card with utility.
If the cards are priced competitively then yes they will sell a lot better than a $50.00+ card.
A series of promo cards release over the year could bring in vital funds for the company with potentially not a lot of work. You would have more likely hood of selling more than just 1 big promo.
Also a series brings another reason to buy for those serious card collectors. This is tapping into some players need to own all TCG cards.

Thanks for the great work
