INTRODUCTION:
Genuine personal growth stems from an internal source and is shaped by the essence of one's soul. Let love and empathy be the driving forces behind your decisions, instead of superficial desires. Stay true to your core being and let your soul lead you towards self-realization.
TODAY'S TOPIC:
TRUST HIM FOR THE LIFE YOU CANNOT LIVE
BIBLE TEXTS:
Galatians 5:16-26
KEY VERSE:
"...only crazy people would think they could complete by their own efforts what was begun by God... " (Gal. 3:3, Msg).
CONTROLLING THOUGHT:
We must learn to rely on God for the things we cannot perform because it is...God...(who) works in you both to will and to do...His good pleasure." Phil. 2:13.
THE MESSAGE:
Our Lord clearly taught His disciples that if they were going to live the spiritual life, they must exchange the natural, ordinary, sensible and worldly-minded life, for it. The spiritual life is one that is initiated and maintained by God alone. The apostle John described it as the wind (John 3:8). It is a mystery and "...we'll never figure it out" (Rom. 11;33 (Msg).
The issues of this life are only explainable by means of a right relationship to God.
Our attempt to resolve the issues of life without reliance on the Holy Spirit always ends in failure, and frustration. We get frustrated and spiritually exhausted when we try to make life work on our terms and by our schedule.
Many born again believers have shipwrecked their faith due their lack of the understanding of the role and operations of the Holy Spirit with respect to the life of faith. Someone has said, and rightly so, that there more backslidden Christians in today's Church than there are believers. Frustration, and confusion are written on many a face who seat on pews every Sunday, and some of those who stand behind the pulpit are not spared. Many are weighed down as they attempt to cope with daily chores.
The truth is that our Lord, fully aware of the disadvantage that would cripple the Church, has given us of His Victorious Holy Spirit (John 14:16-18). The spirit of Christ, who lives within all believers (Rom. 8:9-11), often seems silent when we try to live by our own strength. Yet His presence can become real and powerful when we rely upon Him for the things we cannot do.

CALL TO SURRENDER:
If you would like to surrender your life and will to Jesus, say this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I come to You a sinner. I ask that You forgive my sins. I accept You my heart as my Lord and personal saviour. Thank you for saving me, in Jesus' name. Amen.
GENERAL PRAYER
Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I can do nothing good or lasting apart from you. I submit myself to You today so that You may do Your exact work through me.
