🖊️ COMMENTARY
Sometimes, Biblical stories such as the one contained in Isaiah 36 and 37 appear simply unbelievable in our modern times of science and technology. How can one angel reduce the mighty Assyrian army to an army of corpses by killing off 185,000 soldiers in one night?
The good news for science-minded Christians of today is that research is increasingly aligning with Biblical stories, thereby strengthening the faith of doubters and even triggering that of unbelievers in the veracity of the Bible. In June 19, 2024, an archeologist, Professor S. C. Compton, discovered the Assyrian military base in Lachish, 42 miles south of Jerusalem, which may practically prove the Biblical battle of the Angels defending Jerusalem.
As the Emperor Sennacherib and his vast army advanced from Lachish 2700 years ago towards Jerusalem, they stopped at the
abandoned ancient priestly city of Nob, and from there challenged Hezekiah with the words of today's Bible reading. After reading the entire story, you will understand why God was stirred with great indignation to rise and respond to the contempt poured on HIM by Sennacherib. God's angels struck Sennacherib in a deadly way.
This year, the Angel of His presence will go with you. Believe it because it is a tested and certified method that God has used through the ages to keep His children from troubles and guide them into blessings. You will receive a lot of angelic help this year because heaven can no longer keep quiet over your (the Nigerian, world) situation.
