My last time: My mother picked me up from school

in FreeCompliments2 months ago

It is a moment that stays in our minds and invades us with sadness and a bitter feeling, knowing that it will not happen again. If it is not the last time it will happen, or if it happened.

As we grow older, we experience various changes, and among them is a moment that occurs for the last time. This feeling stays with us. When we are adults, we sometimes examine it, and we know that it is due to some changes or to some scenario that has to happen.

However, if that occurs to us as children, we will have that sensation, but we will not understand it or know how to communicate it.

One last experience that occurred to me when I was young and that I remember more vividly is when my mother went to pick me up from school.

It was almost time for vacation, and I was about to move on to the next level. I would be old enough to begin the new changes, such as attending school alone. After we had departed, my mother brought me to have an ice cream. After that, she began a chat with me, during which she told me the following:

You are now at a new stage of your life, where I will be by your side, but not as you were before. You can go to school alone, performing your duties; as I previously said, I will always be here for you, but you are growing and entering new phases that you will be experiencing. I am pleased with how you are doing in school, learning daily, and fulfilling your obligations!

Initially, I told her I did not understand what was happening because my mother would no longer pick me up from school. As I finished school, my mother always waited for me with a smile.

I would run to where she was to tell her everything that had happened in my classroom and how I had done in my evaluations. It was like something special to feel that she was there, to tell her my things on the way home.

I had to leave school, and she would no longer be waiting for me. I had to travel home by myself, and I had to wait until I got home to tell her everything. However, it was different since it was a habit I had developed since I began school.

I was only courageous enough to follow what my mother told me. I didn't show her and kept my tears back so she wouldn't feel terrible. The last thing I wanted was for my mother to feel sad, so I didn't tell her how I felt when she talked to me with her motherly voice.

After that day, we went home, and when night came, I slept in my bed. I took my pillow and thought about everything my mother had told me, as that would be the last memory of my mother going to pick me up from school.

I did not want to tarnish it with sadness, but of an adventure or experience my mother had told me about.

I did, how I spent time with my friends, whether I ate my snack and so many other questions that my mother asked me every day to find out how my day was. These were beautiful moments. I can not say that my mother was waiting for me when I got home. She also asked me the same questions, but it was different because now it was from home and not when I walked.

This was the last time I did it. If you have any memories, please tell me about the most recent time you experienced it.
