I snapped up one of these coins as soon as I got the chance, an 1893, haven't posted it yet. I keep losing count on how many countries that have commemorated the Santa Maria as it seems to be the most popular ship immortalized.
They ran the Santa Maria aground and her remains became a makeshift fort as I recall and left some of the crew in charge when they came back on the next voyage. Sure didn't end well.
