A mid-20s patient! A regular visitor to us! Over the last year, he visited 5 times with the same problem. He goes somewhere to cool down his “needs" in a twisted and unnatural way! Within a few days of the “visit”, he develops painful urine with discharge from the private part. He visits a doctor (I believe we aren’t the only clinic he visits), and takes an antibiotic injection and some oral medicine. He promises not to go down the same path. But, he is quite good at “breaking the promise”.
Recently, he visited me. Quite a familiar face! He came with a smiley face!!
“What happened? The same issue?” I didn’t even need to see his previous history.
“Yes, the same issue. I want the same injection”.
“You did it again?”
“I promise, it’s the last time”- with a smiley face!
“I don’t believe you at all. You are an insane guy”!
I checked his antibiotic history. Three different types of antibiotics were previously prescribed for him. According to him, the medicines work like magic for him. That’s why maybe we are his favorite doctors!!
He received an injectable antibiotic and some oral medicines including one antibiotic. He then left!
