Kava or Kawa is a medicinal plant that is very little known, at least here in Europe, but that is used very frequently in Polynesia. And it was precisely a French friend who lives in Polynesia who told me about it.
Its cultivation here in Europe is really difficult, so I do not recommend it, rather using native plants. If we want to use it, we can always go to a specialized herbalist who will surely not only provide us with it, but also advise us very well.
Kava is mainly used as a sedative or local anesthetic. And the medicinal properties are in its root, as happens in many cases with this type of plant. In any case, we must be well informed because there are many varieties and not all of them act in the same way.
