Hi all
I hope you are having great days. Welcome to my weekly Splinterlands Post. This post will be short because I only want to talk one point only, it is simple but very important to some players, especially gold foil cards only player like me.
Have you seen the recent reward shop? Right now we can buy gold foil draws usign our GLINT point. You can check your shop, it will be like this:
For me, maybe for us who are gold foil only players, this is very helpful. I decide to make this post because I think I should voice out my opinion about this, while most of the people posting Splinterlands are mostly using scholarship account which only a few of them who really developing their own accounts.
You see, when we play Splinterlands not on the highest level, the number of GLINT we can get per season is very limited. Check out my account below:
I play on Silver League because my cards are not high leveled ones. Most of the time, I could only get GLINT less than 50.000 per season, combined from current balance and season end loot. As you can see above, today I have 16.000 GLINT balance and 16.000 Season End Loot.
Here is my SPS rewards up today, most of SPS I get come from BRAWLS, that's why you will often see me posting my BRAWL Activities. That's my cash cow in this game.
So when I say GLINT is very limited for casual players, it is what it is. I am not a scholarship players of max leveled cards anyway, so I won't brag about how much GLINT those accounts could get.
Today I am going to show you why GOLD FOIL DRAWS is important.
With the current GLINT I have, I could get 20 Rare Draw or 1 Gold foil rare draw. Mathematically, I should use the rare draw, because 20 draws with 4% of gold foil odds, I could easily get one, couldn't I?
I show you what happen if I pick regular rare draw. I choose this 20 draws and these are what I get:
20 Rare Card Without any Gold Foil. so technically I just wasted 15.000 GLINT point
Here is the deal, I can get better odds of Gold Foil appearance if I draw the max tier, which is 100 Rare Draws, or 400 common draws. Below that things often go ugly like today. Probability works bests at big volume or large population, not on small sampling.
So that's why I say this Gold Foil Draw is important to me, I could get Gold Foil soulbound cards very soon without having to hoard GLINT token for some season!!
ALWAYS MONITOR YOUR SOULBOUND GROWTH
I change a bit of my mind, I decide to add this part in this post. It is about soulbound monitoring, which I think it is very important. I share you below one of the free tools from SPLINTERCARDS:
https://splintercards.com/tool-reward-soulbound.html
From that tools, we can check our Soulbound cards for Rebellion edition, Chaos Edition and Gladius Edition.
Here is my stats. We can see I do not have any EPIC or LEGEND, because currently I am building my Common and Rare first.
These are my common cards. Most of them have reach max Silver level, or level 5.
and these are my rare. They haven't got max Silver level yet.
So this is my tips for casual players like me. We don't have plenty of GLINTS, focus first on getting all, even you want to focus for Gold Foil like me, I still prefer to go with all cards having silver level first.
Later I could focus on Gold Foil. So Why should I bother with the regular foil? I have only one answer, it helps you maintain good winrate!! Better you have all the cards at low level, rather than only having some at good level.
Ok that's all for my Splinterlands post this week. Have A blast at your guild BRAWL!!!
