Back To Basic - The Numbers Battle

in FreeCompliments7 hours ago

Hallo there,

Welcome to my weekly Splinterlands post, as usual I always write about Splinterlands during Weekends. For today topic, I would like to talk about back to basic.

Actually Back to basic is one the most I dislike from all the ruleset. It is boring and monotonous because it favors people who have higher cards level and who have better summoner, especially legendary summoner.

The most favored approach is to go with legendary summoner, because they have the most buffs and abilities. Back to basic negates all abilities, except summoner abilities, which made summoner becomes very crucial here.

However I do not own any Legendary summoner, so I have to take the hard way. It is to populate my line up with cards which have higher numbers in damage, speed, armor and health. Abilities do not matter anymore. Just put Melee, Range and MAgic with the highest number and then there you go!

So most of the time we might end up having opponent with many similarities in line up. This is the part that make me bored too.

Ok let's check our battle now

HIGHLIGHTED BATTLE

This is the battle I pick for today. It has the back to basic ruleset, of course with an extra equal opportunity ruleset. This would add some dynamic in the battle, which the attack wouldn't not be focused on the main tank position.

I like this battle because both of us come with different element. He uses earth element and I use fire element. Overall he has higher level units than me.

My tactic is simple, I will focus on melee only units. I will exploit Tarsa Summoner buff here.

let's see how this would go

  • The battle started with both side buffing their team and debuffing their opponent. It felt good to see both of us coming with a great line up. we both tried to exploit our summoner abilities.
  • They came with 9 Melee damage and 6 magic damaage, which made a combined 15 damage per round.
  • My team had 18 Melee damage per round, yes all of my units were melee.
  • The numbers were all pretty much similars. Both of us had similar speed, damage and health point

  • Round one was pretty intense, we both killed three units against each other. At the beginning of round 2, we were still on equal ground, 4 vs 4.
  • Both of us made a kill in this round, so it could be said that we were still equal at that point.

  • The momentum was high at the same pace, we both took down an unit here, exactly the same as the earlier rounds.

  • Guess what, we were keeping up against each other up to this point. This somehow became a show down of the last units

  • This was the last round, a Venari Scout vs Tenyii Striker. My Tenyii Striker moved first, killed the their Venari Scout in one hit. Good Game.

Finally the battle was settled. It was a tight margin, not much different between us and I believe I won this game becase Tarsa gave two buffs, while Obisidian only gave one buff. In the end this leads to a condition that my team have better stats numbers than the others.

that's all for today post, and Thanks for coming and let's meet in Splinterlands Battles!!
