Welcome in this one I consider if I should get a CAT scan, the idea for this post got lost in the sauce.
So awhile back I realized @thebighigg was changing the game using a scanner to capture images of his stack, I thought that was a great idea and I was going to make a post about it and explore the possibilities.
If you for some reason take lots of pictures of your precious metals you probably know it ain't easy for reasons like small details and high reflectivity, so are scanners a viable options, let us explore together.
We start with a coin I got from @trumpman thanks daddy 🤣
In the thumbnail/ first pic we see the coin in my first clearish 3d printed capsules.
And right bellow are 2 pictures of it out in the nude.
I will save the verdict and the future plan later, moving on some fine China made 1 Gram silver bar with a gold plating.
Alright so over all I would say it sure has it's benefits, however it's far from perfect but this is likely due to the fact this is not a specialized scanner, but the reality is most people if the have a scanner it will be part of printer, There are surely higher resolution scanner around that can do a magnificent job.
As you see mine did a decent job but the resolution here is non existent it looks good from a far and when we go for the tiny 1 gram sample we really see the lacking.
Other all I think this method shows a lot of promise and I will do some research to see if there is professional options or maybe I can look into making my own solution with my ingenuity and 3d printers, I did stumble on a gadget someone 3d designed that lets folks take pictures similar to that with their iphones, I will likely give it a go even though I don't have an iphone.
It could also be an opportunity to onboard some folks to hive
