Morning with Prayer: Day Nineteen. Prepare Your Heart.
Thank you Lord for strengthening our hearts, as Psalm 9:38 says!
The Bible mentions the human heart many times it is what drives people, what needs to be kept and cherished but all this can have different and contradictory final results.
Let's return to Psalm 9:38 in which we hear David's request to the Lord to strengthen his heart and hear this prayer.
Yes, only in prayer can our heart be strengthened and only in prayer can we prepare our heart for certain changes in our lives.
A prepared heart is at rest and nothing can disturb this fragrant peace like the aroma of flowers at the end of the passing day.
Our heart is prone to worries and stress they rush like bugs to our heart as if to a ripe cherry.
We can of course do different types of gymnastics and take walks before bed and to some extent, this somehow has a positive effect on the heart, but at any moment this peace will be destroyed if you have not given your heart to God for repair.
Without God we will always be in a state where we feel ourselves either prey or a hunter and next to God we will always be those who taste the fruits of a noble hunt even when we make some sacrifices.
Prepare your heart give God all your sorrows and worries His grace knows no bounds!
