Gold foil notes are continually gaining in popularity. They're not a practical way to stack gold, but they feature some very beautiful and unique designs. The price point on a lot of these is very affordable, so they're appealing to a wide range of people who both collect and stack precious metals.
I recently came across this foil note based on the St. Gauden's depiction of Liberty and had to have it. It's larger than a Goldback, and since it had a simpler design to it, this made for quite the challenge to take a picture without including a reflection of my hand, phone and face in it.
Aurum is a company that has been making gold foil notes for some time now. They do a great job with the products I've seen so far.
One of these was only $15.95, so I didn't hesitate to buy one. I could spend $16 at a fast food place on a mediocre lunch or buy this, so you can guess which won over. 🤑
At 0.1g of gold in each note, they're not a practical way to stack gold, but if you love the design and don't plan to sell it, then why not? Life is short, and the supply of these is even shorter. If you come across one in stock, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it, as it likely won't be there for long!
