The guild brawl just finished, and there was one battle that I enjoyed, so I thought of sharing it with you.
Every week I play Guild Brawl. Unlike Normal Game, in Guild Brawl, you can only use Owned Cards or Rented Cards, so it's either you buy a card or rent one.
You also can’t just rely on free Gladius or Soulbound cards, because if you do, you'll have very few cards to use in battle.
So, my battle result for this week is 8 wins and 0 losses—not because I'm good, but because only three frays appeared, and I won all of them. The other 5 were automatic wins.
I earned 738 merits and 35.65 SPS rewards from this.
The battle I want to share is my first one, which had the battle ruleset of Opportunity, Armored Up, and Blood and Sunder. The mana cap for this battle was 51, so I had a lot of cards to use.
I want to share this because I was pleased with the strategy I used in the battle. We all know, as Splinterlands players, that the Opportunity ability means the opponent will attack the unit with the weakest health.
I used my summoner Obsidian to make my Quora card's magic attack more powerful.
So, I thought of placing two units with the Martyr ability in between the units I wanted to strengthen.
In this battle, I placed a card between Quora and Pelacor Mercenary. I also placed another card with the Martyr ability between Quora and Endless Ape.
By the way, Endless Ape also has the Scavenger ability, which means it gains health every time a unit is defeated.
I used Mycellic Infantry as my tank because it has the Shield ability.
And since Quora has the Opportunity ability in this battle, she could use her 2 attacks—magic and melee—per round.
As I expected, my two units with the Martyr ability died in the first round, which made my other units stronger right away. Even though I had fewer attackers because I lost 2 units, my remaining units got stronger, just as I expected.
We all know that every time Quora kills an opponent, her stats increase, making her more powerful.
In the end, of course, my team won this battle.

Looks like playing Splinterlands is fun, right? If you also want to enjoy playing Splinterlands, you can click my banner with the referral link. You can try the game in free-to-play mode first, but if you want to earn while playing, you need to buy a Spellbook which costs only $10. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this game because I’ve been playing it for over 2 years and I still haven’t gotten tired of it.
