Hello Splinterlands Summoners! Welcome to another edition of battle mage secrets. For this week, it's Keep Your Distance where Monsters with melee attack may not be used in battes.
The Rules, Available Splinters and Max Mana
Keep your distance - Monsters with melee attack may not be used in battes.
Noxius Fumes - Mosters start the battle poisoned.
Available splinters - Fire, Life, Death and Dragon.
Max of 30 Mana.
For this battle I picked the Dragon/Light Splinter because of key cards that I believed will win the battle.
My Team
Quix The Devious - I picked Quix because I anticipated that my opponent will pick the Light Splinter. Quix will counter the enemy archers as well as decreasing their speed.
Pelacor Conjurer in the tank position. It has Magic Reflect ability to counter enemy magic damage dealers. It's also a decent tank for 2 mana.
Zyvax Vuul in the second position. I think this is a very underrated card. It deals a lot of damage and can fly. I often use this card in Earthquare rulesets.
Magi of Chaos to deal 3 Magic damage and also has 7 hearts to last against poison.
Adelaide Brightwing in the fourth position. My star in this battle. She deals 2 Magic damage, has Immunity to deal against poison and has Resurrect. I often use this card with Uriel.
Iziar in the fifth position. One of the legendary soulbound cards I was lucky enough to get. This is a very useful card which deals 2 Magic damage. It also has the Taunt and Void abilities. I usually place him in the back and use him with Spirit Hoarder.
In the sixth position is a filler card, Chaos Agent. This is a good card to protect against enemy sneak attackers. It has 3 speed and Dodge ability.
The Opponent
As expected, my opponent picked the Light Splinter and he has a level 8 General Sloan. He also used the same key cards as me but his team is better. He has Djinn Renova who gives one heart to all his monsters which is useful in this ruleset. It also has Triage which heals his Iziar. He also has Venari Crystalsmith who heals his tank. Unfortunately, I lost this game. I lost not because he has higher level cards but he chose the better cards for this ruleset.
