It has been a hectic week with all the changes in Splinterlands rewards in addition to the crazy market and the contiuous fall of the SPS Token (currently trading at 1.7 $cents). But I shall not stop my grind in splinterlands and hopefully making it up to Gold Again this season!
Fire & Regret
All units receive the Return Fire ability at the start of the battle. Enemy units that attack with ranged attacks receive damage back.
Damage returned is equal to damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
A couple of things should be taken into consideration:
- Either banish the play of Ranged Monsters on the battlefield and focus on Melee / Magic Monsters
- Play Ranged Monsters for the unility or having some kind of protection like Triage and Reflection Shield
- Amplify can be used of applying for multiple reflection damage!
Without further ado let's get started:
Without further ado let's got strating:
- Mid High Mana Cap 36 Mana
- Earth & Life Available
- Return Fire ruleset
So I have decided to go with a unique approach:
Summoner
Ability: +1 Ranged Damage
Since Sloan is my only High leveled Life Summoner, it should be my go-to as I'm planning to use the life team as my pick choice.
Well, one Ranged unit will be used for my battle choice! More to come later:
1st Position
Ability: Bloodlust + Aim True + Pierce
It might have to come as a surprise putting it at the Tank position since it's not too tanky and got a low speed. It should be otherwise it won't be balanced since it got Aim True + Pierce besides the 7 Melee Damage that should generally net a Kill on the 1st Round leading to a Bloodlust Proc and the beginning of a Rampage!
Since it's not a tanky unit, this would be my go:
Last Position: Taunt
Ability: Taunt + Void
By putting it on the last position to attract most attacks with the Taunt ability and buying enough time thanks to 12 Health and the Void ability that greatly offset the upcoming magic damage
It would've been better if I came up with a triage monster.
3rd Position
Ability : Rust + Slow
It probably became one of my favourite Life Monster! Not only, The Slow Ability gives my team an advantage in terms of Speed but also Rust is great in nerfing the enemy Armor leading to my monsters having a higher chances to land deadly attacks (especially Jared Scar)
Let's not forget about the 3 Magic attack bolt!
4th Position
Ability : Tank Heal + Dispel
The only Ranged monster used in this matchup. It's true that its damage would bump up to 4 Ranged Damage and can hurt the enemy tank but I'm using it to heal my Tank monster as well as Dispel any potential enemy bloolust before it goes down with Return Fire.
5th Position
Ability: Sneak + Poison
An finally adding a sneak attacker to the mix, and one of the best 3 Mana cards in the game: Decent Damage, great speed, An Armor that can protect it from an adverse attack and finally Poison that's inflicted to the backline!
Here's the Link to The Battle
Pre Round 1
- A decent team I'm facing, most of the team got Magic Damage that can be tanked by Iziar while jared scar gets the time to go on rampage!
Round 1
- First was Fingus Flinger to be eliminated after an attack from Uraeus and return fire from Iziar: Buffs to both Regal Pterygon & Dr Blight
- After receiving damage from Pelacor, Jared Scar fired a deadly 7 Melee attack to one-shot the latter! here's the 1st Bloodlust
- Otherwise, Iziar keeps tanking most shots from the enemy that luckily took many Magic Monsters but ended up poisonned and afflicted!
Round 2
- Starting as 6v4, My team having the speed advantage are dealing great damage (especially Venrari) to the enemy reach monster, Venari is still alive and should go down on the next turn after getting hit by the next Return fire
- Jared Scar finishing off the Pixie: not the 2nd Bloolust: 9 Damage 8 Health
- After suffering multiple attacks and Poison, Iziar got eliminated by Dr Blight
- Unfortunatelt Jared Scar received Goblin Spychic straight magic bolt.
Round 3
- Both Tanks are in critical position with both in low health
- Venari sacrifice will be remembered as it took down Goblin Psychic and died to the Return Fire.
- That Jared Scar 9 Melee Attack One-Shot the ever annoying Regal Pterygon : 3rd Bloodlust: 10 Melee 5 Speed
- Unfortunately, it went down after Doctor Blight Attack.
Round 4+5
- It didn't take much for Dr Blight to be eliminated from the battlefield after the continuous attacks from all my monsters in order to clinch the Victory!
- Rewards: +20 Trophies & 0.98 SPS

After Battle Commentary
- Catching the enemy by surprise by bringing Jared Scar into the battlefield was a great idea as it went to up to 10 Melee Damage!
- It would've been better if I went with a triage monster to keep Iziar as alive as possible, although Affliction/Poison would hinder my strategy !
