I do believe it took me an handful of battles to finally find (and most importantly WIN) a battle with this weekly challenge Ruleset! And fortunately (and hopefully) you'll find it pretty interesting to read through and watch! With this let's GO:
Armored Up
|
Looking at this ruleset, it seems simple at first glance but on the other hand, it leads to potential shift to Magic Damage as it naturally goes through the Health and won't be hindered by the additional Armor provided by the Ruleset!
For this a special attention should be directed to:
Void Armor would be even more relevant for the reason mentionned earlier, adding to that Repair that works SO WELL as a synergy with the Void Armor Ability!
Secondly is the Shatter ability that get completely rid of the opposing Armor from the first hit:
A special mention would be Immortalis that offers a couple of advanatges in this context:
- Void for protection against a high probability Magic Team
- Shatter ability for the entire Team
With this let's hop right into battle:
- Low Mana battle 18 Mana
- Only Fire, Death, Dragon are available
Briar Patch
+Armored Up
Rulesets
A pretty tricky combination if I daresay that has led me to this composition:
Cards | Ability | Description |
---|---|---|
-1 Ranged Damage -1 Speed | Speed is key in every situation especially in these low Mana battles with higher probability of facing Magic / Ranged, I'll offset some of the upcoming ranged damage! | |
Void Flying | Since we have a higher probability facing off against Magic, it's a no brainer to bring a Void Monster to halven the upcoming magic damage 5 Speed + Flying makes for a high chance to evade Ranged attacks | |
Life Leech Poison | To capitalize on the Magic advantage, This monster is perfect for its low mana and big utility as a secondary tank and Poison inflicter in case we faced a strong tank! | |
None | Despite having no abilities, it's High Damage 3 Ranged + Speed makes up for its lack of ability and this amount of damage is illegal for just 3 Mana | |
Shatter | We did stress on how important the Shatter ability is and a 2 Mana monster is befitting for this job! |
Round 1 Pre buffs/Debuffs
Facing a rather expected yet scary team especially with the precense of Magi Necrosi that could snipe my whole backline!
Round 1
- Fortunately with the speed advantage, Void Dragon was first to act and eliminated the fiend to place Magi Necrosi in the first position and avoid its snipe attack.
- Unfortunately, both Poison from enemy Venari and Stun from Revealer have landed on Void Dragon making it vulnerable on the next turn.
- On the other hand, my backline is doing some pretty decent damage!
Round 2
- My Void Dragon get defeated by Magi Necrosi followed by an instant revenge coming from my Venari Bonesmith
- My couple of ranged monsters only left the enemy Venari with a single health but gained an additional HP thanks to its Life Leech ability
Round 3-4
- My venari landed a not-so-late poison attack and Weirding Warrior got its first kill on Enemy Venari
- Now we're 3v1 as Revealer riposted by stunning My Venari Bonesmith after getting its Armor destroyed.
- It didn't take much for it to go down on the 4th Round to clinch the VICTORY for a juicy +20 Trophies & 0.7 SPS

Post battle commentary
Overall it was a decent battle, and I'm starting to discover how OP Quix The Devious is and how it can affect certain games with its Debuffs
Moreover, the Silver League is getting tough as I'm trying to learn more about the Meta and different team comps in order to climb to the high levels and maybe pay Gold a Visit as the Rewards are far more lucrative
