I hope you all having a good Monday and having a good start of the week, Today's challenge is Maneuvers, it seems it derivate from the French word Maneuvre which doesn"t necessary relates to the Reach Ability
Anyways, in the cover page, is a rewards legendary monster KEI that have the Maneuvers ability as well as Enfeeble and Ambush abilities, making it one of the best reach monsters in the game!
Maneuvers
- ALL Melee Monsters have the Reach Ability
- Armored Strike is a melee attack.
- Sneak and Opportunity override (procs instead of) reach.
When I fisrt saw this ability, there was a particular monster that came into my mind, one that offers the best synergy with Possibilus:
Coastal Sentry got an insane aggressive kit: Double Strike associated with 5 Melee Damage + Piercing going through any armor!
While the lack of tankiness can be easily overcome by placing it on a second position behing a beefy Tank (aka Arkemis/Diemonshark)
Enough of the theory talk, let's get rolling with this particular battle:
- Low Mana Cap 13 Mana
- Fire , Life, Death Available
- Maneuvers + Stampede Rulesets
This is a rather difficult battle to play with and would expect to face a death team so I decided to go as follow:
Summoner
Ability: +1 Ranged Damage
This summoner is used to summon my Life Team Monsters, despite not profiting from the advantage of Ranged Melee Monsters, I decided to stick to almost melee Monsters.
1st Position
Ability: Flying & Magic Reflect & Divine Shield & Phase
One of the Best 2 Mana Monsters! It got a very interesting kit:
- Flying + 5 Speed making it a truly evasive monster and hard to hit
- Divine shield protects it from the first damage landed
- Magic Reflect + Phase are an oppressive counter to every magic monster especially in low mana battles!
2nd Posiiton
Ability: Scavenger + Dodge + Enrage
Yes another 2 Mana Monster, and you see it got a rather interesting abilities:
The fact that it lack defense stats/ability makes it very vulnerable, it needs to rack up some health with the Scavenger ability in order to be ready to tank.
But wait, it got Dodge & 3 speed, makes it slippery and can evade many shots, coupled with the enrage that further enhances its evasiveness!
3rd position
Ability: Sneak + Life Leech
A decent sneak monster! it got a respectable speed and decent damage for just 3 Mana, not only it hurts but also able to build up its health thanks to the Life Leech ability!
4th Position
Ability: Flying + Opportunity + True Strike
A 3rd 2 Mana monster, the life team got some pretty solid low mana monsters! This one is somehow similar to pelacor: Flying + 4 speed makes it a rather evasive monster and worth putting it as a sneak counter
On the other side, Opportunity + True Strike is a deadly combo that garantee a kill if no armor in on the way.

Pre Round 1
I wasn't expecting the face a fire team, well a rather decent one! The Demoralize from the Fiend and well as the Snare from Venari will prove to be a difficult task to overcome!
Round 1
- Harpy Dodged both Ambush and Uraues shots but got hit by the regular gobalano soldier hit.
- Unfortunately, Pelacor Conjurer got hit by Snare and lost the majority of its evasiveness.
- Thankfully to Maneuvres Ruleset, The Vulgine eliminated the Fiend to get back its original Attack Damage
- Stitch Leech attack got wasted on Uraeus Armor, not looking good for my team
Round 2
- No more dodges from the Harpy as it got terminated by the enemy Uraues
- By making matters worst, Gobalano Soldier One-shot the Stitch Leech
- Vulguine retaliates by dealing some damage to Venari
Round 3-4
- A Masterclass performance form Vulguine: Evades 2 Shots from Uraeus and Soldier on the 3rd Round, Again evading Uraues shot on the 4th Round.
- Vulguine Eliminates the Venari leading to a Martyred Soldier that took down Pelacor Conjurer.
- The battle still ON!
Round 5
After so many misses, Soldier finally hit Vulguine and they hoped they didn't hit it as it enraged to 5 Speed + Dodge makes it even HARDER to hit it!
Vulguine Fires back to takes down the Gobalano Soldier
The story goes on as Uraues maintains a 0% hit rate on Vulguine :D
Round 6
The Final Showdown between Vulguine & Uraues ended with a Sweet Victory and Vulguine Solo Carry the entire Team and earns me sweet 2.26 SPS & 40 Trophies

After Battle Commentary
- Here's an example on how some irrelevant monsters can become True carries in the right conditions and Rulesets despite the enemy team taking a huge lead
- Having a Maxed Soul Fiend will enhance the Speed of my monsters giving me further advanatage (and evasiveness)
