So, if you’ve read my post from yesterday, you already know I took my DJI Mini 3 Pro out for a walk and managed to catch some insane drone shots as the fog gave way to the sun. But the real secret? I didn’t just take the drone. I also had my trusty Fujifilm X-T2 packed in the bag right beside it. And that combo, let me tell you, was the real MVP of the morning.
See, there’s something awesome about the flexibility of having both the bird’s-eye-view power of the drone and the detail-capturing prowess of a proper camera like the X-T2. It’s like bringing a scalpel and a sledgehammer to the same job—you’re ready for anything. And that’s exactly what I needed to capture this moody, misty morning that was throwing all kinds of light and atmosphere at me.
Let’s be real: sometimes a drone shot just doesn’t do justice to the finer details. That’s where the Fuji stepped in. With its sharpness and amazing dynamic range, I was able to capture the crisp morning mist, the soft glow of the sun breaking through the fog, and all those little details that make a shot personal.
And I gotta give some love to the PeakDesign bag. You know what I’m talking about if you’ve got one of these. It’s the perfect balance between functionality and style—enough space for my Mini 3 Pro and the X-T2 with a lens or two, without feeling like I’m lugging around a suitcase. It’s a real game changer when you’re on the move.
Anyway, here’s a little gallery of what I captured with the Fujifilm X-T2. These shots complement the drone images perfectly. It’s that balance between wide, sweeping landscapes and those intimate, close-up details that really tell the full story of a morning like this.
If you’re serious about photography, don’t underestimate the power of packing both drone and camera. Some shots demand the grandeur of a drone, while others beg for the nuance and texture that only a camera like the X-T2 can provide.
Check out these beauties from the Fuji. Tomorrow, I’ll probably be packing the same combo because, well, why wouldn’t I?
