A Clear Cloud; A Bright Day. #Love The Cloud Contest, 198

The night wasn't friendly at all. Everyone was worried about Aunt’s situation in the labour room. The nurses seem wearied of our continuous questioning such that they refuse to answer anymore. Uncle Ben was losing his manly courage over his wife's health conditions which has given him much concern over the previous weeks. Our only prayer was that God should give us both the baby and the mother alive.

Aunty Ima’s health condition had been deteriorating over the past few weeks. That wasn't her first pregnancy but sadly the first baby didn't survive more than a year and six months. From birth, the child was incapacitated mentally and physically. As at his one year birthday, she couldn't sit not to talk of attempting to crawl. Every effort to resuscitate the baby to normalcy proved abortive till we finally lost him.

Now, Aunty Ima has taken in again. The expectations of both her and her husband were very high. Considering the circumstances that surrounded her previous pregnancy, there was obvious fear enveloping her. The situation became worried some when we started observing unhealthy symptoms around her at the peak of the pregnancy. Her legs were swollen. The conditions were so unfavorable that the doctor prescribed cisse for her.

The D-Day finally arrived. Aunty was in the labour room. Gathering strength from the persistent assurance by Pastor that she will deliver safely, she went into the labour room believing she would come out with her baby.

Now, watching her beautiful daughter of about 4 months old, playing and laughing I remember that the cloud was cleared and God gave Uncle Ben and Aunty Ima a bright day.
