Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes esta versión que hice de Chirpily. Normalmente, mis dibujos son un poco más infantiles, pero esta vez decidí hacer una ilustración un poco más "realista" intentando imitar la técnica de la acuarela.
Obviamente, esta técnica es nueva para mí, pero aun así creo que quedó muy bien.

- Today I want to share with you this version I made of Chirpily. Normally, my drawings are a bit more childish, but this time I decided to make an illustration a bit more "realistic" trying to imitate the watercolor technique.

Para empezar, lo primero que hice fue hacer el boceto. Esta vez lo hice un poco de perfil, para que pareciera un retrato de él. También le agregué unas flores al fondo para darle un poquito más de detalle y que el dibujo se viera un poco mejor.
Después de hacer el boceto, hice un estudio de color para ver qué colores iba a utilizar. En Chirpily usé sus colores originales, y para las flores usé un color rojo para que hiciera contraste con el personaje.
- To begin with, the first thing I did was to make the sketch. This time I did it a little bit in profile, so it would look like a portrait of him. I also added some flowers in the background to give it a little more detail and make the drawing look a little better.
- After making the sketch, I did a color study to see what colors I was going to use. For Chirpily I used her original colors, and for the flowers I used a red color to contrast with the character.
Después de hacer el estudio de color, empecé a colorear el dibujo. Primero añadí los colores base y en una capa diferente los detallé usando un pincel diferente.
Mi idea era darle una especie de estilo de acuarela al dibujo, así que fui pintando cada zona del dibujo con esa intención.
Una vez finalizado el personaje, coloreé las flores y le agregué algunos detalles al fondo para que no se viera tan vacío.
- After doing the color study, I started coloring the drawing. First I added the base colors and in a different layer I detailed them using a different brush.
- My idea was to give a kind of watercolor style to the drawing, so I was painting each area of the drawing with that intention.
- Once the character was finished, I colored the flowers and added some details to the background so it wouldn't look so empty.
