The Sceliphron genus is also known as mask wasps or urn wasps, which are a group of parasitoid wasps part of the sphecidae family, they are known because they build nests from mud and are similar to small urns, these wasps are generally not aggressive towards humans and often act as predators that control the population other insects, their nests usually contain other insect eggs which they store to be used as food for their larvae. In fact, this genus shows interesting social behavior, including cooperation in building nests and raising larvae together.
