The genus Lilioceris is a group of leaf beetles in the chrysomelidae family which is known because it has members who are often pests of flowering plants, the most famous species is Lilioceris lilii, known as the lily leaf beetle, this beetle can cause damage to flowering plants such as lilies , chrysanthemums and other host plants by eating plant leaves, to control the population of these beetles it is necessary to make several efforts such as visual monitoring and the use of insecticides to reduce the population, but all this can only be done in a sustainable pest management prevention process.

Even though it is often considered a pest on plants, this beetle has interesting properties, there are even some people who consider the Lilioceris genus to be an interesting pet beetle because they are small, unique and have attractive colors, these beetles can be handled gently and held. Place it at the end and it's not at all dangerous, but you still need to be careful, because this beetle population can damage plants, so even though they can be played with, that doesn't mean they won't be a threat to the garden if the population increases.
