The genus Conocephalus is a genus of the tettigoniidae family and belongs to the orthoptera order, actually this genus has many popular names, among them "katydids" and also "golden grasshoppers", they are spread out in various tropical and subtropical regions, so far the Genus Conocephalus has more than 100 species and is spread across various continents of the world, and the most prominent among the others is the Genus Conocephalus with its striking red body color as you can see in the picture of our hunt today.

Members of this genus have slender and elongated bodies, while at the head of the genus there are very long atenas that exceed the length of the body size of the genus so that when observed closely this genus is truly unique and amazing. Another prominent thing about this genus is that they have the ability to produce very loud sounds in the middle of the forest, the "kriikkk" sound they produce in the forest can enliven the hunting atmosphere, and the "kriikk" sound is produced through wing friction and functions as a method of communication between individuals in their natural habitat.
