Cosmolestes picticeps is a species of beetle that attracts the attention of entomologists and insect enthusiasts. This beetle belongs to the tenibrionidae family, which is a group of beetles that are easily found in various natural habitats throughout the world, while its scientific name "Cosmolestes picticeps" refers to its distinctive characteristics, namely The color pattern on its head and body makes this beetle easy to recognize.

Cosmolestes picticeps has a small body with an average length of around 5-8 millimeters, the body is slender and slightly elongated, covered with a hard cuticle which functions as a protector, the dominant color varies greatly from brown, black and golden yellow, its characteristic is the striped pattern and spots that are visible on the dorsal part of the body, and this gives this beetle a striking appearance and is easily seen among the green leaves, while the two long antennae create another beauty that makes anyone amazed when they find them in the wild.

The species is easy for anyone to find in various habitats, from humid tropical forests, semi-arid forests and you can even find them in grasslands, they usually hide behind leaves, so if you go hunting for insects then you need to look for them in dense bushes and Thick grasslands, they are among the leaves to avoid being hunted by predators, diverse habitats allow Cosmolestes picticeps to adapt to different environmental conditions, and this also makes Cosmolestes picticeps able to survive in various conditions.
