Campsomeriella annulata or also known as the wood hornet is a species of insect belonging to the siricidae family. This insect has an important role in the ecosystem as a pollinator and also destroys (decomposes) dead wood, although its presence is sometimes considered disturbing, especially for investors. in the forestry sector such as timber entrepreneurs and others, but in reality this insect has a very vital ecological role, therefore it is very important for all of us to know more about the Campsomeriella annulata insect.
Campsomeriella annulata has a long and slender body shape, while its body color is black and is equipped with a pattern of yellow stripes, my estimate at first glance is that the body of this insect is around 20 mm long, another uniqueness lies in Campsomeriella annulata's long and strong antennae, while the back of the insect is slightly larger compared to the front of the insect, its transparent wings look very beautiful and also allow the insect to fly faster between trees.
