Acraea terpsicore also known as "tawny coster" is one of the interesting butterfly species and is quite common in South Asia and Southeast Asia. This species is known for the beauty of its distinctive color, with a brownish red color and spots. Protruding black, this butterfly is often found in various open habitats, such as gardens, meadows and plantations.

Acraea terpsicore spends part of its life looking for nectar in flowers, making it an important part of the flower ecosystem as a pollinator. Even though this butterfly is common, their population can be affected by environmental changes and deforestation which can affect the availability of their habitat and food sources.

This butterfly is an interesting species for scientists and nature observers because of its role in studying the evolution of color patterns and behavior of a series of butterfly species. With its natural beauty and important role in the ecosystem, Acraea terpsicore is an interesting example of biodiversity that needs to be preserved.
