Greetings friends, since Godzilla x Kong came out, I've been wanting to make several of his characters in Chibi version. As one of the main characters is Godzilla, I wanted to start with him. Join me in the creative process of this work!

Step by step
One of the things I debated about was whether to do it with flexible dough or plasticine. Although I thought about flexible dough so that it would last longer, in the end I opted for plasticine, as it is the material I always use for my works, so it will be together with the others as a whole collection of pieces with plasticine.
Paso a paso
Una de las cosas en las que me debatí fue si hacerlo con masa flexible o plastilina. Aunque pensé en masa flexible para que durara más, al final me decanté por la plastilina, pues es el material que acostumbro a usar siempre para mis obras, así estará junto a las otras como un toda una colección de piezas con plastilina.
I started to mold the torso as a complete piece, instead of doing it in parts. It is a small sculpture so by its conception it does not need support, as all the pieces can stand on their own.
Below you can see in two photos how I started molding this one piece and then continued shaping it, using my molding tools.
Comencé a moldear el torso como una pieza completa, en lugar de hacerlo por partes. Es una escultura pequeña así que por su concepción no necesita soporte, pues todas las piezas pueden sostenerse por si mismas.
Abajo pueden ver en dos fotos cómo comencé moldeando esta única pieza y luego continué dándole forma, usando mis herramientas de moldeado.

In this piece I opened the eye sockets, I made them really big because it is a Chibi style sculpture. If you don't know, this style of figures have huge eyes and disproportionate body parts compared to the rest of their body.
En esta pieza abrí las cuencas de los ojos, las hice realmente grandes pues es una escultura estilo Chibi. Si no lo saben, este estilo de figuras tienen los ojos enormes y partes del cuerpo desproporcionadas en comparación con el resto de su cuerpo.
After completing the initial shape of the torso, I continued with the legs and the little hands. I did them in a simple way, because as I said, they are parts of this kind of characters that don't require much detail. On the other hand, I did make some details on the chest, such as some lines simulating scales.
Luego de completar la forma inicial del torso, continué colocándole las patas y las manitos. Las hice de manera sencilla, pues como dije, son partes de este tipo de personajes que no requieren mucho detalle. Por otra parte, en el pecho sí les hice ciertos detalles, como unas líneas simulando escamas.

The next thing I did was to paint godzilla's body. I didn't paint it only in black color, but I added black and shades of blue and gray, to give it a little depth, although it doesn't have it, because it is a complete sculpture, a single piece.
Lo siguiente que hice fue pintar el cuerpo de godzilla. No lo pinté únicamente de color negro sino que le coloqué color negro y tonalidades de azul y gris, para darle un poco de profundidad, aunque no la tenga, pues es una escultura completa, una única pieza.
In the eye sockets I placed two spheres of yellow plasticine, then I stuck two even smaller spheres of black plasticine, which I flattened. To each black sphere I painted a small white dot.
On top of each eye I made a huge eyebrow, because I couldn't just leave him like that, I put these black eyebrows to give him an angry face. I must admit he looks adorable, but with a mean face. I like it, it makes him look more charming, he's like those short girlfriends when they get angry.
En las cuencas de los ojos le coloqué dos esferas de plastilina amarilla, luego le pequé dos esferas aún más pequeñas de plastilina negra, las cuales aplasté. A cada esfera de color negro les pinté un pequeño punto de color blanco.
Encima de cada ojo le hice una ceja enorme, por llamarlo de alguna manera, pues no podía simplemente dejarlo así, les puse estas cejas de color negro para darle cara de enojado. Debo admitir que se ve adorable, pero con cara de malo. Me gusta, lo hace lucir más encantador, es como esas amigas bajitas cuando se enojan.
Something very characteristic of godzilla, are the spines he has on his back, these series of sharp and hard bone fins that when you see them you can clearly identify the character.
To make them I simply cut a bunch of plasticine pieces and gave them this shape that you can see in the picture below.
Algo muy característico de godzilla, son las espinas que tiene en la espalda, estas suertes de aletas puntiagudas y duras de hueso que al verlas te permite identificar con claridad al personaje.
Para hacerlas simplemente corté un montón de pedacitos de plastilina y les di esta forma que pueden ver en la foto de abajo.
Now it was just a matter of placing them on the back. First I glued three, at the rate of one thorn in front, then two behind, then one between these two and so on until I reached the tail, where I placed three small thorns one after the other.
Ya simplemente fue cuestión de colocárselas en la espalda. Primero pegué tres, a razón de una espina al frente, después dos detrás, luego una entre estas dos y así hasta llegar a la cola, donde coloqué tres espinas pequeñas una detrás de otra.
