A NeedleWorkMonday Community Contest! with a work that I have dedicated to someone very special to me, my sister, to whom I have made a youth panda embroidered pajama.

¡Saludos amigos amantes de las artes manuales! Les doy la bienvenida una vez más a mi taller Bricolaje DC. Hoy me gustaría sumarme al Needlework Your Valentine!! A NeedleWorkMonday Community Contest! con un trabajo que he dedicado a alguien muy especial para mí, mi hermana, a quien le he confeccionado una pijama juvenil con panda bordado.

Materials:

1/2 meter of printed fabric
1/2 of unicolor fabric
Thread and needle
Pink and black silk thread
Scissors
1/2 meter of elastic
6" embroidery hoop
Pencil
Safety Hook
1 meter of tassel lace

Materiles:

1/2 metro de tela estampada

When I went to my local fabric supplier, I selected fabric that was fresh, inexpensive and easy to work with. I found peach skin pajama fabric for $1.5 a yard.

Cuando fui al proveedor de tela de mi ciudad, seleccioné tela fresca, económica y que se me hiciera fácil de trabajar. Encontré tela piel de durazno pars pijamas por 1.5$ el metro.

I started by cutting the pieces for the shorts, 2 equal pieces that would make each of the legs.

Comencé cortando las piezas para el short 2 piezas iguales que harían cada una de las piernas.

Then, by hand, I sewed a seam to join the two pieces, reinforced the seam by going back and so it was doubled. I made an edge at the top to pass the elastic through.

Luego, a mano, pasé una costura para unir ambas piezas, reforcé la costura regresando y así quedó doble. Hice un borde en la parte superior para pasar el elástico.

For the pajama top, I wanted to make a wide top with short sleeves. The V-cut collar to which I attached the pink tassel lace so as not to make a stitched edge.

Para la blusa de la pijama, quise hacer un top ancho con manga corta. El cuello en corte V al que le pegué el encaje de borlas de color rosa para no hacer un borde con puntadas.

While on the sleeves I did a 3 stitch border embroidery. I really enjoyed this part. It is the first time I do this kind of embroidery and I really liked the result as I selected pink silkine which looks very nice.

Mientras que en las mangas hice un bordado para bordes de 3 puntos. Esta parte la disfruté mucho. Es la primera vez que hago este tipo de bordados y me gustó mucho el resultado ya que seleccioné sedalina de color rosa que se ve muy lindo.

On the front part of the blouse, centered, I made with the pencil the design of a panda lying down, it is my sister's favorite.

En la parte del frente de la blusa, centrado, hice con el lápiz el diseño de un panda acostado, es el favorito de mi hermana.

I made the outline of the drawing and decided to leave it this way. My sister likes minimalist designs and it seemed perfect and classic.

Hice el contorno del dibujo y decidí dejarlo de este modo. A mi hermana le gustan los diseños minimalistas y me pareció perfecto y clásico.

To finish, with the same fabric left over from the shorts, I made a border to place on the bottom of the top so that it could match.

Para finalizar, con la misma tela sobrante del shorts, hice un borde para colocar en la parte inferior del top y que pudiera hacer juego.

And that's how this pajamas with embroidered panda I made with love 100% handmade for my sister. She lives 1000 kilometers away but I already sent her the gift. I am very happy with the final result. I had a lot of fun and the most important thing is that I was able to save money making the DIY pajamas, since the approximate cost was 5$.

Y así fue como quedó esta pijama juvenil con panda bordado que hice con mucho amor 100% a mano para mi hermana. Ella vive a 1000 kilómetros de distancia pero ya le hice el envío de su regalo. Estoy muy contenta con el resultado final. Me divertí mucho y lo más importante es que pude ahorrar haciendo la pijama DIY, ya que su costo aproximado fue de 5$.
