TE INVITO A DISFRUTAR UN PASEO POR LA BOCA [ESP-ENG]

Virgen del Carmen.

El 25 de marzo me fui a celebrar mi cumpleaños al litoral aragüeño, específicamente tomé rumbo hacia Ocumare de la Costa de Oro.

Para llegar hasta este hermoso lugar del estado Aragua, en Venezuela, tuve que atravesar el Parque Nacional Henri Pittier. Ya mi maravilloso viaje estaba impregnado de esa frondosa naturaleza, donde el tamaño de los helechos nos hace sentir como si viviéramos en un mundo de gigantes. En especial en la Cumbre de la Montaña. La mayoría de las veces, a primeras y últimas horas del día, la neblina densa acompaña al viajero que transita por este mágico parque. ¡Claro, que si es época de sequía, será muy raro toparnos con ella!

Además, encontramos espectaculares caídas de agua en varias partes del trayecto hasta que llegamos al sector La Trilla, y allí hay un río, muy visitado por propios y turistas para preparar el delicioso hervido en leña y bañarse en sus frescas aguas.

Llegada a Ocumare. Famosa y añorada redoma. A la derecha nos vamos hacia El Playón y a la izquierda para Bahía de Cata, el pueblo San Francisco de Cata y muchos kilómetros más allá, nos encontramos en Cuyagua.

El día 26 de marzo, me fui a caminar por toda la costa en el Sector El Playón. Desde Playa La Punta, ubicada al extremo izquierdo del litoral hasta La Boca; ubicada en el extremo derecho.

Ya en la carretera, vía Ocumare de la Costa, encontramos una capilla donde se le rinde homenaje y tributo a la Virgen del Carmen, asociada esta advocación de la Virgen María con todo lo relativo al mar, es por eso que en cada población a lo largo de las costas venezolanas nos encontramos Capillas o la imagen de la Virgen del Carmen, pues cuenta con muchos fieles, principalmente los pescadores y sus familias.

Hace muchos años, La Boca, cobró fama por la partida y llegada de pescadores quienes se hacían a la mar en busca del exquisito alimento. En el lugar, una gran diversidad de puestos de venta de pescados y mariscos frescos que eran transportadas por todo el país. Daba gusto ver el trajinar de tantas personas (hombres y mujeres) seleccionando la pesca del día y distribuyendo a restaurantes del lugar, posadas y hoteles y la mercancía que sería repartida por toda la geografía venezolana. Lamentablemente, ya esto no es así. Solo vi una ´pescadería y sentí esa nostalgia que siempre está dentro de mí de la otra Venezuela que viví.

Vean, cómo la Madre Natura, privilegió este lugar en Aragua, Venezuela y la Paz y Serenidad que se respira, frente al mar, donde las gaviotas y pelícanos son un elemento más del paisaje.

Se ha explotado, con mayor seriedad y control ahora, el traslado de turistas que desean vivir una de las mejores experiencias en su itinerario: ir a La Ciénaga, conocida con toda la razón como EL PARAÍSO EN OCUMARE.

Los Ocumareños, bien sea por conciencia o por interés turístico, se han empeñado desde hace muchos años, en mantener, conservar y multiplicar la conciencia ambiental en todos aquellos quienes visitamos sus costas. De manera constante realizan jornadas de limpieza y mantenimiento de las obras llamativas, en especial por su valor histórico, para que el visitante las disfrute.

Te invito a disfrutar de Ocumare de la Costa, a plenitud, y recuerda que debes traer tu basura. No contaminar ni deteriorar el ecosistema que allí existe.

I INVITE YOU TO ENJOY A WALK THROUGH LA BOCA [ESP-ENG]

Virgin of Carmen.

On March 25 I went to celebrate my birthday on the Aragüeño coast, specifically I headed towards Ocumare on the Gold Coast.
To get to this beautiful place in the state of Aragua, Venezuela, I had to cross the Henri Pittier National Park. My wonderful trip was already impregnated with that lush nature, where the size of the ferns makes us feel as if we lived in a world of giants. Especially at the Mountain Summit. Most of the time, in the early and late hours of the day, dense fog accompanies the traveler passing through this magical park. Of course, if it's a dry season, it will be very rare to come across it!
In addition, we find spectacular waterfalls in various parts of the route until we reach the La Trilla sector, and there is a river, widely visited by locals and tourists to prepare the delicious boiled over firewood and bathe in its fresh waters.

Already on the road, via Ocumare de la Costa, we find a chapel where homage and tribute are paid to the Virgin of Carmen, this invocation of the Virgin Mary is associated with everything related to the sea, which is why in each town along Along the Venezuelan coasts we find Chapels or the image of the Virgin of Carmen, as it has many faithful, mainly fishermen and their families.

Many years ago, La Boca became famous for the departure and arrival of fishermen who went to sea in search of exquisite food. In the place, a great diversity of stalls selling fresh fish and seafood that were transported throughout the country. It was a pleasure to see the hustle and bustle of so many people (men and women) selecting the catch of the day and distributing it to local restaurants, inns and hotels and the merchandise that would be distributed throughout Venezuela. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. I only saw a 'fish shop' and I felt that nostalgia that is always within me for the other Venezuela I lived in.

See, how Mother Nature privileged this place in Aragua, Venezuela and the Peace and Serenity that is breathed, facing the sea, where seagulls and pelicans are another element of the landscape.

The transfer of tourists who want to live one of the best experiences on their itinerary has been exploited, with greater seriousness and control now,: going to La Ciénaga, rightly known as THE PARADISE IN OCUMARE.

The Ocumareños, whether out of conscience or tourist interest, have been committed for many years to maintaining, conserving and multiplying environmental awareness in all of us who visit their coasts. They constantly carry out cleaning and maintenance days on the striking works, especially for their historical value, so that the visitor can enjoy them.

I invite you to enjoy Ocumare de la Costa, to the fullest, and remember that you must bring your garbage. Do not contaminate or deteriorate the ecosystem that exists there.
