I don't think that is how we normally work in this society these days. We aren't inspired by better, we are victimized by it and try to tear it down.

This is true. Perhaps an alien invasion would be the only thing that might have a chance of uniting humanity. Sad, isn't it?
I agree with you. It has to be outside humanity, otherwise it will just be like it is now - human on human violence.
