So yesterday, I was tuned in to the Hive Humpday Hangout by @ph1102 and it was different from the usual chat sessions because there were some big news and a special guest!
The big news was that World Map Pin will be taking over Pinmapple!!!
For those who are in Pinmapple community, you would know that they will be closing down soon. Personally, I have mostly been a reader of the travel posts and I have enjoyed the photos because in a way, I am able to "travel the world" from the little room of mine just by reading the posts and looking at the photos. Recently, I have made some travels and I started posting some of my trip sharings and photos too. So knowing that it will be closing down, it was quite disappointing but I fully understand the reasons as well. I see the passion in so many people in the community and I am very sure it was not an easy decision to make.
Anyway, as shared by the special guest @detlev, and in this post as well (link), World Map Pin will carry on Pinmapple's legacy! This is such great news because Pinmapple means a lot to so many people, including myself. Of course, transitions take time but I will be looking forward to new page!
Apart from the update and to spread the news, the new team will need everyone's support as well! I heard there will be an upcoming proposal to vote for so do look out for it!
In the meantime, it would also help greatly if you could delegate HP to @worldmappin (a few of us have done so!) and if you would like to go one step further, you can vote @detlev in the witness list too!
